You cannot re- ceive the money yourself; it must be sent directly from your IRA financial institution. You can contribute as often as you want, monthly or once a year. A QCD will cut your federal and state income taxes. It may also lower the tax amount on your social security income. - you will lower your AGI and pay less federal tax; you will lower your state tax since federal AGI is lower and you may lower the fraction of your Social Security income that is taxed. Society of St. Vincent de Paul Assisting our neighbors in need March 3 Eighth Sunday in Ordinary Time In the Gospel today, Jesus uses images in speaking to his disciples: “Can a blind man act as guide to a blind man ? ….. Why look at the speck in your brother’s eye when you miss the plank in your own ? ….. A good tree does not produce decayed fruit …..” It is true that the support that you bring to the Society of SVDP is because a good person produces goodness from the good in their heart. Thank you for sharing your goodness ! Is there a neighbor or friend of yours who is in temporary need because of the loss of a job or an illness ? Please tell them to call the Society of St. Vincent de Paul so that together we can help our neighbors in need celebrate the Light of Christmas. We want to help ! 860-670-7016 Leave a message and an SVDP member will return the call. All calls are handled in complete confidence. The Society of St. Vincent de Paul welcomes " all who wish to live their faith by loving and serving their neighbor." We are a lay volunteer organization. All donations made to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul are used directly for the benefit of our neighbors in need. We are looking for new members!
