Cathy is most proud of her work in collabo- rating with Rohnert Park elected officials to found the very popular Friday Night Markets held 13 weeks over the sum- mer in Rohnert Park’s City Center Plaza. 2018 will be it’s 9th year. Rohnert Park & Sonoma County residents gath- er for live music, food, wine and produce. The markets have become the largest fundraising vehicle for several local non-profit agencies and charities. Cathy also serves as Master of Ceremonies. To honor her work in the communi- ty, she received the 2011 “Spirit of Sonoma County Award” from the Sonoma County Economic & Development board. Cathy also volunteers as Executive Director of the Miss Sonoma County Outstanding Teen program. She enjoys spending time with her 24-year-old daughter, 19-year-old son and her fiancé, Randy Nunes (class of ’71). Asked, why Cathy spends so much time and energy in her involvement in our community, Cathy said, “Being a 4th generation Sonoma County resident I couldn’t imagine living any- where else. When we support our community it only makes it stronger for everyone”.
