Cathy is most proud of her work in collabo- rating with Rohnert Park elected officials to found the very popular Friday Night Markets held 13 weeks over the sum- mer in Rohnert Park’s City Center Plaza. 2018 will be it’s 9th year. Rohnert Park & Sonoma County residents gath- er for live music, food, wine and produce. The markets have become the largest fundraising vehicle for several local non-profit agencies and charities. Cathy also serves as Master of Ceremonies. To honor her work in the communi- ty, she received the 2011 “Spirit of Sonoma County Award” from the Sonoma County Economic & Development board.

Cathy also volunteers as Executive Director of the Miss Sonoma County Outstanding Teen program. She enjoys spending time with her 24-year-old daughter, 19-year-old son and her fiancé, Randy Nunes (class of ’71). Asked, why Cathy spends so much time and energy in her involvement in our community, Cathy said, “Being a 4th generation Sonoma County resident I couldn’t imagine living any- where else. When we support our community it only makes it stronger for everyone”.

4 DON’T MISS OUT ON A GREAT TIME AND DELICIOUS FOOD AT OUR 12TH ANNUAL CRAB FEED Last January we had a near sell out crowd. It was one of our best years of revenue for the 3 non-profits- -the Piner Boosters, the Piner Foundation, and the Piner Hall of Fame who raise funds for Piner High. Many people reconnect with old friends, make new friends, or bring a group of their own friends for a fun filled evening with delicious food, and a chance to get some great deals on numerous raffle and silent auction items. Dinner includes appetizers, salad, fresh bread, pasta and crab; topped off with dessert, coffee or tea. Melted butter is also provided. Once again we are holding our “Famous” dessert auction that offers up delicious home-made or professional desserts. Anyone who has experienced any of our past events raves about the fun atmosphere, the food, and the dessert auction.” So don’t wait. Get your tickets early and set the date with your friends, relatives, or coworkers for an enjoyable dinner and evening out, all while helping the students at Piner High.

he lived with the coach’s family. The coach also got him a job working the sidelines during the Los Ange- les Rams football games. While at USC Bill received a minor league contract where he played for the New York Giants. At Bill’s memorial his son, William Rogers, stated his dad decided after playing in the minor leagues for a while that all the traveling was not suited for family life.
