Dominique retired from UPS in 2005 and Robin retired that year also. Dominique continued to coach baseball and help out with Casa’s football program. In 2012, Dom went to work as a Campus Security Supervisor at Casa Grande, where he works today. After 25 years, Dom retired from coach- ing baseball in 2017. At the end of the season the North Bay League awarded Dom, baseball Coach of the Year. Quite an honor. Dominique and Robin stay busy traveling, trailering, gardening and sports. They love watching their grandsons play Little League and trav- el ball and their granddaughters dance at studio C and do competition dancing. In June Robin and Dominique celebrated their 47th wedding anniversary. Editors note—Piner High School opened in the fall of 1966. Health, Science & Biotechnology Pathway (HSB) WANTED: Committee Members for the Piner High Athletic Hall of Fame and the Piner High Foundation. These two organizations are looking for alumni, retired staff, or supporters to fill many positions that will be vacated in one to two years. The Hall of Fame meets once a month on the second Wednesday of the month in the PHS Administra- tion building. The Foundation meets on the same day and at the same Culinary Pathway location, following the HOF meeting. If you are interested in giving back to your school, or you are a friend of Piner High and would like to help with a variety of different positions that need to be fill, please call 571-7420 for additional information. Working with former classmates and/or making new friends on the committee is not only fun but also rewarding. There has been a small group of Piner High alumni, teachers University Pathway and administrators who have been volunteering for these two organiza- tions since they started in the early to mid-2000’s. Though they have had many good times together, many are now ready to let others take over and continue this important and rewarding work. 4 DON’T MISS OUT ON OUR UPCOMING 12th ANNUAL CRAB FEED Last January we had a near sold out crowd, along with one of our best revenue years for the crab feed’s 3 non-profits—the Piner Boosters, the Piner Foundation, and the Piner Hall of Fame. The money raised by these organizations goes towards sports equipment, sustainable classroom supplies and and equipment, along with honoring past outstanding athletes in an effort to bring back Piner Alumni to get involved in helping Piner continue to prosper. Tickets for our upcoming Crab Feed on January 27, 2018, will again be available at any Oliver’s Market, starting in early November. Our price will be $55 per person (still one of the lowest in the county). Dinner includes appetizers, salad, bread, pasta, crab, dessert and coffee or tea. The Piner High Boosters are also looking for someone to assist with collecting auction items for our upcoming Crab Feed in January, and then taking it over next year.
