STOCK HORSES Division 120 Entries: Entry Forms Accepted through Saturday, August 1, 2015 BY 5 PM. Post Entries Accepted from Aug. 2-21, 2015 for an additional $25.00 per contestant. Drug Fee: $5.00 per horse Show Starts Saturday, September 5, 2015 at 8:00 A.M. Rules & Information: Refer to Horse Show General Rules, Page 2, Local Rules, Page 61 Limit 10 Exhibitors per class or 50 Exhibitors per show. Open to the World. Tie breaking in Reining and Working Ranch Horse: Prize money and purse from next placing will be combined and divided between contestants. Tie breaking in Open Cow Horse, and Non-Pro Limited: Cow work score determines the winner. Only NRCHA & NRHA approved headgear is permitted in stock horse events with the exception of the Working Ranch Horse classes, Judge may check bridles. NRCHA Rules apply to Open Cow Horse and Non-Pro Limited Classes. NRHA Rules apply to Non-Pro Reining Class. Awards: Sponsored Awards & Rosettes Cash Awards $30-$25-$20-$15-$10 Cash Awards will be based on number of contestants if less than five entries Purse - Divided as follows: 30%-25%-20%-15%-10% NEW – Award for the Top Ranch Horse will be awarded for the total high point in these 3 events: Ranch Cutting, Working Ranch Horse and Ranch Sorting. RANCH CUTTING Entry Fee: $80 + Drug Fee Stock Charge: $45 Purse: $35 Plus Drug Fee: $5.00 per horse/per day Class Description 1 Ranch Cutting: Open to any age horse. No gimmicks, i.e. tie down, mechanical hackamore, caveson, etc. Rider must show two handed, cannot drop hands. NON-PRO REINING Entry Fee: $30 + Drug Fee Purse: $30 Plus Drug Fee: $5.00 per horse/per day Class Description 2 Non-Pro Reining: Class is open to non-professional riders who are eligible for a non-pro card with the NRHA (has not received remuneration for training horses or riders in reining). NRHA pattern will be used. NRHA approved equipment (including bit) and NRHA rules apply. 6 OPEN COW HORSE, NON-PRO LIMITED Entry Fee: $70 + Drug Fee Stock Charge: $40 Purse: $30 Plus Drug Fee: $5.00 per horse/per day Class Description 3 Open Cow Horse: Horses 5 years of age and under must show in snaffle, hackamore, or two-rein. Horses over 5 years of age must be shown in full bridle and romel reins with bit and riders can only use one hand on rein. NRCHA rules and NRCHA two-rein rules will apply. This class will consist of a selected NRCHA pattern and cow work. New cow at discretion of Judge only. 4 Non-Pro Limited: Rider can show in Snaffle, Hackamore, Two-Rein or Bridle. NRCHA two-rein rules apply. Class is for riders who have not shown down the fence more than three times. No trainer of any sort of discipline allowed. This class consists of the selected NRCHA pattern and cow work is boxing only. New cow at discretion of Judge only. WORKING RANCH HORSE Entry Fee: $70 + Drug Fee Stock Charge: $40 Purse: $30 Plus Drug Fee: $5.00 per horse/per day Class Description 5 Working Ranch Horse: Must be a currently working ranch horse. Cow work only no dry work. No gimmicks, i.e. tie down, mechanical hackamore, caveson, etc. Two hands allowed on reins. Eligibility for class is determined by Horse Show Management.
