Use of this rule book for non-approved events is strictly prohibited Australian Ranch Horse prides itself on the integrity and honesty of each of its’ members. All the rules in the world will only be as good as those honourable enough to follow them. We, as a group cannot make a set of show rules that will cover every situation nor can we possibly police every aspect of the competition within our organization. We expect the members to see what is equitable, and fair, abide by their conscience and follow these basic rules set forth in this rulebook. © 2020 Australian Ranch Horse – Updated 1st November 2020 2 What you need before you can show Competition Card: For members competing in any sanctioned ARH events Eligibility: Check with ARH for Class eligibility of competitors and horses. Eligibility levels are Open, Youth, Amateur Freshman, Amateurs and Novice Amateur exhibitors must be current members and hold their division card. Horse Owner Card: If the horse is owned by a person/company/partnership other than the competitor, the owner must be a financial member of Australian Ranch Horse. Certificate of Registration for Horses: All horses entered in ARH approved shows are required to be registered with ARH at the time of entering classes. ARH membership name must coincide with the owner’s name on the horse’s breed association papers. If the horse does not have papers, it must be identifiable through markings and brands. Requirements to Show: You may be required to present either the original or photocopy of your current membership card(s) and horse’s Certificate of Registration at each show. You can save it on your phone and present it that way too! © 2020 Australian Ranch Horse – Updated 1st November 2020 3 Fee Schedule • All fees must be paid in Australian funds. • Fees are subject to change without notice. • ALL FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE AND NON-TRANSFERABLE. Annual memberships run financial year 1st July thru 30th June. • Individual Membership $55.00 including one competition card (Open, Amateur, Novice Amateur, Amateur Freshman) • Individual Membership $35.00 (non-competitor and non-competitor horse owner) • Family Membership $80.00 for people in the same household • Competition cards $10.00 (for individual family members) • Youth Membership $15.00 • Lifetime Membership $400.00 • Judge Only (judging purposes only/may not show with this) $50.00 • Horse Licence Fees: $100.00 optional for recording points All membership must be paid online through the Australian Ranch Horse Membership Site. No paper- based memberships are accepted. Additional Competition Cards must be purchased online through the membership portal. Services • Change of Name on Membership: $10.00 • Service Proof to Show (Emailed): $10.00 • Declined Payment/Returned Cheque Charge: $50.00 • Protest Fee (cash or certified funds only): $50.00 • Transfer of Horse Licence Ownership: $50.00 • Duplicate Certificate Fee (provided to registered owner only): $25.00 • Changes to certificate including address and horses name: $50.00 • Change to Gelding (stamped) Existing Licence: No Fee • Computer Print-Out Show Record (Current Year) for licenced horses: $15.00 • Computer Print-Out Show Record (Lifetime) for licenced horses: $30.00 Fees must be processed through PayPal or PayPal Express for Credit Cards to Australian Ranch Horse. © 2020 Australian Ranch Horse – Updated 1st November 2020 4 Mission Statement The mission of the Australian Ranch Horse is to provide a program and place to showcase and promote the abilities of the all-around versatile ranch horse with the focus on having shows that are fun, affordable and designed to improve both horse and rider in a positive atmosphere where honesty, personal growth and politeness towards fellow horsemen exists, where horses are always respected, and where true ranch tradition is genuinely honoured. Purpose The Australian Ranch Horse was organised to encourage, promote, advertise and develop the ranch type horse as a unique and excellent athlete. Australian Ranch Horse shall carry out the foregoing purpose by . conducting and sponsoring ranch horse shows and events; . encouraging members to conduct horse shows and events; . establishing standards, rules and regulations for the efficient promotion of ranch horse competition; . establishing qualified Approved Show Entities groups and organisations; . establishing standards for judging the performance of ranch horses; . maintaining active records of individual ranch horses and riders; . establishing appropriate recognition for their achievements; . maintaining the traditional and historical connection of the ranch horse with the ranching and livestock industry; and . co-operating with other equine associations and businesses having a common purpose. Foreword Welcome to the Australian Ranch Horse. Australian Ranch Horse (ARH) are a group of dedicated horse enthusiasts looking to enjoy their horses in an entirely different type of competitive atmosphere. All ARH events, programs and services encourage fun, friendly, family-oriented competition at all levels where members can participate in many fun activities and learning experiences and share a passion for the true equine athlete.
