New Routes and Increase the Flights for the 2021 Winter Schedule (From Oct Press Release August 24, 2021 Peach Aviation Limited New Routes and Increase the Flights for the 2021 Winter Schedule (from Oct. 31) ▪ Demand expected to recover as vaccination progresses ▪ One round trip per day will be operated between Fukuoka and Ishigaki ▪ Increase the flights on four routes, to/from Nagoya (Chubu) and Fukuoka Peach Aviation Limited (hereafter: Peach, Representative Director and CEO: Takeaki Mori) announced today that its winter schedule (from Oct. 31 2021, to March 26, 2022) would include new routes and an increased number of flights. While some routes are currently operating with a decreased number of flights due to COVID-19, there have been signs of recovery in passenger demand, a trend that is expected to increase going forward as vaccinations progress. In light of these developments, Peach has decided to add new routes and increase the number of flights to improve customer convenience and maximize profits. See below for more information on affected routes. We will visit caves that were once forts in the heart of battle, winding markets with all of the tastes, smells, and colors you can imagine, shrines that will fill you with peace, and artisans who will immerse you into their craft. We will overlook military bases as we think about the American Occupation and the impacts of that relationship. We will eat Okinawan soba (noodles with pork), sample Goya (bitter melon), learn the intricate steps that create the dyed cloth known as Bingata, and dance to traditional Okinawan music. This is a remarkable opportunity for many reasons, as this trip is the first of its kind at UC Santa Cruz. I’m also proud to provide you with a journey unlike any you will have at other universities, as we are fusing the student and alumni experience. Our Gail Project students, while still working on their own undergraduate research, will make special appearances with the travelers and act as docents and guides at various sites along the way. This experience will allow travelers to meet and learn along with the students, and will offer insight into UC Santa Cruz’s commitment to hands-on research opportunities for undergraduates.

    KAGAWA BONSA I Kagawa Bonsai Flourishing Around the World About Kagawa Prefecture Shikoku is Japan's fourth largest island, southwest of Japan's main island Honshu, and is divided into four prefectures: Kagawa, Tokushima, Ehime and Kochi. Situated in the northeast part of Shikoku, Kagawa is the Japan’s smallest prefecture and is connected to Honshu by the Seto Ohashi Bridge which crosses the Seto Inland Sea at the north. Kagawa is blessed with rich nature and a gentle climate which is warm through the seasons with little rain and long sunshine durations.
