Introducing our New Board Members! CFA Society of Saskatchewan is pleased to present the new Board of directors for 2014-2015.

Jeff Lindskog, CFA, FRM – President

Jeff is the Treasurer at where he is responsible for Canadian and US pension investments in addition to cash management, funding, foreign exchange and insurance. Prior to joining Viterra, Jeff worked at Farm Credit Canada where he held various positions in Treasury and Portfolio Management. Jeff is a CFA Charterholder, a Certified Financial Risk Manager and holds a Bachelor of Administration from the University of Regina.

Johanna Salloum, CFA – Vice President

Johanna is a Senior Investment Manager at PFM Capital Inc., a leading Saskatchewan private equity investment firm. She has been a member of the investment team since 2007 and her key responsibilities include the due diligence, underwriting, and management of private equity and debt investments. She holds a number of directorship positions for various investee companies, and is on the Board of Trustees of the MacKenzie Art Gallery and the Board of Directors of the YWCA of Regina. Johanna received her Bachelor of Business Administration (Finance) from the University of Regina and holds the CFA designation.

Robert Davis, CFA – Secretary-Treasurer

Robert is the Manager of Treasury and Balance Sheet Management at . In that role, Robert leads the treasury operations of the credit union, including investment portfolio management, balance sheet management, and financial risk management. Prior to this role, Robert was a Capital Markets Analyst at Farm Credit Canada. Robert obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Regina majoring in Finance and holds the CFA designation.

Chris Chernecki, CFA – Past President

Chris is Vice President of Client Service for Greystone Managed Investments. Prior to Chris’ career at Greystone he worked in the finance industry for the , BDC and GE Capital. Chris has a Bachelor of Commerce Hons. from the University of Manitoba and is a CFA Charterholder.

Sikander Khawaja, CFA – Chair, Programming

Sikander is the in house investment consultant for the Saskatoon based Saskatchewan Teachers' Federation. In that role, Sikander is responsible for managing investment operations of the Federation, including development, administration and monitoring of investment strategies, policies and processes. Sikander also served as Director, Investments for UBC Investment Management and at Abu Dhabi Investment Authority as investment manager. Sikander obtained his MBA from McGill and a Bachelor of Science from UC Berkeley.

Don Hamilton, CFA – Chair, Education

Don Hamilton is a University of Saskatchewan alumnis. He is currently the Manager of Treasury at SaskPower where he has spent the last 24 years. While working with SaskPower Don has done a considerable amount of university teaching for both the University of Regina and First Nations University specializing in Accounting, Finance and Economics. Prior to joining SaskPower, Don worked and lived in New Zealand where he was a full time professor for University of Waikato and a manager with Telecom New Zealand.

Syed Hussain Haider, CFA, CIPM – Chair, Public Awareness

Syed is presently working with CIBC as a Financial Services Representative. He has over 8 years of extensive professional work experience in equity portfolio management for institutional clients in South Asia, Middle East & UK. He has worked with investment firms associated with top-notch global names like World Bank Group’s private sector arm – International Finance Corp. (IFC), Invesco, Temasek Holdings & BlackRock. His focus has been in equity valuation, trading & buy-side research for both open-end and closed-end investment mandates as well as discretionary portfolios. He is a CFA Charterholder, a CIPM Certificant and holds an M.B.A. from Institute of Business Administration (IBA), Karachi, the oldest business school outside North America.

Mark Smith-Windsor, CFA, CMA – Board Member At-Large

Mark is a Vice-President and Investment Advisor with Industrial Alliance Securities. He entered the financial services business in 2004 and advises individuals and corporations on their investments. Mark is a CFA Charterholder, a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Saskatchewan.

Veronica M Gamracy, CFA, CIPM – Board Member At-Large

Veronica is an Investment Advisor and Portfolio Manager with CIBC World Markets in Saskatoon, and has over 29 years of experience serving a clientele of affluent individuals, institutions, and corporations. She holds an MBA (McGill) in International and Corporate Finance as well as the CIMA (Certified Investment Management Analyst) designation. She is a CFA Charterholder as well as a CIPM Certificant. Veronica has been the recipient of the Investment Dealers National Award of Distinction for the province of Saskatchewan, an annual award created to recognize excellence and professionalism in the industry. She has served on the boards of several charitable organizations and provincial crown corporations, and is currently past Chair of the Saskatchewan District Council of IIROC (Investment Industry Regulatory Org. of Canada).

Lydia Mohoric – Society Administrator

Lydia is the Administrator and bookkeeper for CFA Society of Saskatchewan. She is also theAdministrator for CFA Society Victoria and the Events Coordinator for the Edmonton CFA Society. Prior to working for CFASS in 2009, she was the Administrator for CFA Winnipeg from 2006 to 2011. She has over 15 years of experience in the financial services industry focusing in private wealth and compliance. Lydia holds a Bachelors of Arts degree from the University of Manitoba.

Garrett Meier – Society Volunteer

Garrett is Senior Analyst on the Portfolio Risk Solutions (PRS) team at Greystone Managed Investments. Prior to joining the PRS team, Garrett was an Analyst with the Canadian Equity team at Greystone. Garrett obtained a Bachelor of Commerce degree and a Master of Science in finance degree both from the University of Saskatchewan. Garrett has passed all three levels of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) program and is currently a volunteer with the CFA Society of Saskatchewan.
