More Andermatt ski bus connections for winter 2018/19 Bus service to Andermatt further expanded

Andermatt, 28 November 2018 – Following the successful launch of the Andermatt Ski Express for win- ter season 2017/18, bus service is now being further expanded for the forthcoming winter season. Twerenbold Reisen, Heggli Reisen, Birseck Reisen and Autopostale are partnering with SkiArena Andermatt-Sedrun to jointly offer an attractive winter package for the Andermatt-Sedrun ski region. More connections from central , a direct bus from Zurich as well as new connections from Ticino and Basel augment the previous offer, which includes travel and a full-day ski pass for just CHF 69.

Twerenbold Reisen, Heggli Reisen, Birseck Reisen, Autopostale Ticino and SkiArena Andermatt-Sedrun offer an attractive package for a day of adventure at the SkiArena Andermatt and Sedrun. For only 69 francs, guests can take a bus from Zurich, Lucerne, Stans, Lenzburg, Baden, Olten, Aarau, Chiasso, Lu- gano, Bellinzona or various points in or around Basel to Andermatt and back and receive a full-day ski pass for SkiArena Andermatt-Sedrun. For adolescents the price is 55 francs, for children 39 francs. The bus journey together with a round trip to the Gütsch for pedestrians costs just 39 francs.

Many of the weekend buses will begin running on December 1. During holidays and school vacations, buses will run several times a week. Free Wi-Fi on some buses, a coffee machine, refrigerated soft drinks & beer as well as an on-board toilet promise a comfortable journey to and from Andermatt.

Guests can book the Andermatt Ski Express until 5 pm the day before the trip and conveniently pay by credit card. Once in Andermatt, the winter sport fans enjoy direct access to the valley station of the "Gü- tsch-Express" gondola cableway leading to the expanded and modernised Nätschen-Gütsch-Schnee- hüenerstock ski area and towards Sedrun. Skiing on the Gemsstock is also possible at Andermatt.

There is also direct bus service to and from Flüelen, with direct train connections to and from Zurich and Zug. New service in collaboration with Autopostale Ticino begins December 22, with buses from Chiasso, Lugano and Bellinzona to Andermatt and back.

Andermatt-Sedrun Sport AG Andermatt-Sedrun Sport AG, a subsidiary of Andermatt AG, currently operates the ski areas of the Gemsstock, Nätschen-Gütsch, and Sedrun-Oberalp. The overall project to merge the two ski areas of Andermatt and Sedrun into over 120 kilometres of pistes includes the construction of a total of 14 lifts, ten in the first phase (four new, five replacements, and one refurbishment) and four in the subse- quent second phase (three new and one replacement). At the same time, snowmaking systems, new pistes, and restaurants are also being built. The investment in the first phase totals about CHF 130 mil- lion.
