Getting here Andermatt is 70 minutes from Zurich and only 45 minutes from Lucerne by car. Once you leave the motorway at the Göschenen junction, Andermatt is only 10 minutes away. On site, guests can take advantage of the hotel’s own underground car park. Guests can relax and enjoy the impressive scenery as they travel from Zurich to Andermatt by train in two hours. The station, where the also stops, is within walking distance of the hotel.

Rooms In the 123 tastefully decorated rooms and suites Alpine chic meets Asian elegance, with stunning views over the Gemsstock, the village of Andermatt, the Schöllenen gorge, the Nätschen and the Oberalp area. outstanding dining venues. In The Restaurant, four show kitchens serving Asian and European fare tempt guests with dishes prepared before their very eyes. The Japanese Restaurant was awarded a Michelin star in 2017 and is one out of three Michelin starred restaurants in Andermatt, offering all the pleasure of authentic Japanese delicacies at the sushi and sashimi bar. Boasting at least 14 GaultMillau points each, Armin Egil is Chef de Cuisine and responsible for all food outlets at The Chedi Andermatt, except The Japanese Restaurant (1 Michelin star, 16 GaultMillau points) where Dietmar Sawyere is the Executive Chef. In the winter months The Chalet, is open serving traditional fondue to raclette. The Japanese by the Chedi Andermatt with its one Michelin star and its 14 GaultMillau points opened in December 2019 on the mountain station “Gütsch” at 2,300m altitude and is a top-class extension of the hotel’s The Japanese Restaurant.

The Wine and Cigar Library is the perfect place to while away the evening, inspired by the words largest cigar collection in a hotel with over 640 different formats, a fine selection of literature and sumptuously illustrated books. The Bar and Living Room is an ideal après-ski meeting place. Light culinary delicacies are served in The Lobby, The Courtyard, and at the pool bar, The Pool.

Responsibilities Since May 2018, Armin Egli has been responsible as Chef de Cuisine for cuisine of The Chedi Andermatt. Executive Chef of The Japanese Restaurant remains Dietmar Sawyere, who is also responsible for Gastronomy of the Andermatt Swiss Alps responsible draws.

Spa and Fitness The Spa Wellness lovers can visit The Spa and take advantage of several baths and saunas (including a sauna and a Finnish sauna), a steam bath, a warm- and cold-water plunge pool and a hammam. Guests can relax as they wish while enjoying rejuvenating spa treatments in one of the ten spa suites. The Spa is deeply rooted in Far- Eastern philosophy and calls on traditional Asian healing arts. The Health Club The in-house fitness studio boasts cutting-edge Technogym fitness equipment. The Technogym range is equipped with the VISIOWEB digital platform and offers a range of free weights, a kinesis training wall, Power Plates and Pilates apparatus. Guests taking advantage of the fitness studio may also participate in group classes (e.g. yoga and Pilates) or group/individual training with a personal trainer.

Golf Course The Andermatt Swiss Alps golf course is an 18-hole course (par 72), designed in accordance with ecological criteria and beautifully set in the spectacular natural landscape. Covering 130 ha (one-third golf course, one-third farmland and one-third ecological compensation area) and stretching some 6 kilometres in length, this golf course meets international tournament standards. It is only a few minutes on foot from The Chedi Andermatt. The “Alpine Golf” offer also includes the Sedrun, and Source du Rhône courses (all 9 holes).
