This continued through the 2016-17 academic year. 2018 Opponents 11-13 As a result, the Utah baseball program exceeded the number of permissible coaches. UTAH BASEBALL COACHING STAFF After initiating an internal investigation, Utah turned over information to the NCAA. The Head Coach Bill Kinneberg 15-17 institution and the NCAA collaborated to finalize the investigation. Utah self-imposed three Associate Head Coach Mike Crawfod 18 penalties, which include: a $5,000 financial penalty, a reduction in countable athletically Assistant Coach Jay Brossman 19 related activities for the 2018 baseball season, and a suspension of the head coach for the Director of Operations Sydney Jones 20 first 25% of the 2018 baseball season. However, the grade of a C- is a 1.7 grade-point average and is not considered passing for a student’s major classes. A traditional grade of a C takes into account a percentage grade ranging from 70 to 79. According to Executive Order No. 1037 of the California State University policies from the Chancellor’s Office, no other grading symbols besides the traditional grades of A, B, C, D or F can be implemented. Special authorization for the use of non-traditional grades of A, B, C, NC or CR-NC can be approved by the executive vice chancellor and chief academic officer. The executive order also states, “To the extent permitted by Section 40104.1 of Title 5 of the California Code of Regulations, each (CSU) campus may use plus and minus designations in combination with traditional letter grades of A, B, C and D.” The plus and minus grading system is not mandatory, but an option faculty has. -

Franklin Foster I heard the bullets whistling by— They whistled past; I did not know why. Despite the gore it’s all those sounds That whizzed and zipped and brought men down, Of bullets thudding into flesh That keeps alive the ghoulish mess. It’s surprising, yes, that time has quelled The sights of troops that spilled and fell: Through Abrams, Barrett, Cohn and, Dane, Through Wills, and Ox, and Young, and Zane. All fought their best, did what they could, Were Heroes all, yet still I stood. CEDAR CITY HONORED VETERANS DAY with several special programs including Suppressed in mind are not the smells one at the Korean War Memorial. The Cedar Middle School Choir sang patriotic songs and several Veterans were honored with Quilts of Valor, while stories and Of burning flesh or powdered shells. memories were shared of those who served our great nation.
