WOLVERINES PICKED SECOND Defending WAC Champion UVU was picked second in the WAC preseason poll with seniors Paul Hoff- meister and Giovanny Vazquez named to the preseason All-WAC team. UNLV was picked to win the league after its WAC Tournament title last year, finishing just one point in front of the Wolverines while Seattle U was only three points behind Utah Valley, in third.

VAZQUEZ HONORED AFTER WIN OVER AKRON UTAH VALLEY UNIVERSITY MEN'S SOCCER HISTORY Senior Giovanny Vazquez garnered national attention after helping the Utah Valley University hired Greg Maas in the winter of 2013 to start its then-No. 16 Wolverines defeat the then-No. 13 Akron Zips in the season new men's soccer program. The team went 9-7-2 in its first season of opener on Aug. 25. Vazquez scored the game's only goal and help limit competition in 2014.
