Norris has rebounded in double digits three times Orleans Arena this season, and pulled down nine boards in two additional games. However, the grade of a C- is a 1.7 grade-point average and is not considered passing for a student’s major classes. A traditional grade of a C takes into account a percentage grade ranging from 70 to 79. According to Executive Order No. 1037 of the California State University policies from the Chancellor’s Office, no other grading symbols besides the traditional grades of A, B, C, D or F can be implemented. Dear Participants, Family Members, Friends and Fans, After a successful event here in Humble last season, the Great West returns to Turner Stadium for the 2013 Men’s and Women’s Outdoor Track and Field Championships. The 250 student-athletes who are competing at this state of the art track and field complex have hopes of advancing to the NCAA regional competition in two weeks. The staff at Houston Baptist University has done a wonderful job preparing for this championship, which should be the peak of the season for the competing student-athletes and coaches from each Great West institution. We are looking for a very competitive outdoor championship as many league records fell and new champions were crowned during our indoor championship in late February just south of here at the University of Houston. Host Houston Baptist captured both the men’s and women’s indoor titles, stopping reigning champion Utah Valley which finished as runner-up on both the men’s and women’s side. With six institutions competing this weekend, we anticipate having several student-athletes advance to NCAA regional competition either in Greensboro, N.C, or Austin, Texas, with an opportunity to compete in the NCAA Championships, June 5-8 in Eugene, Ore.
