The Brazilian maritime industry is facing a unique moment that impacts and reshapes every sphere of the shipbuilding industry. After a booming period of 19% growth per year, challenges have returned as a part of the daily routine. Despite adversities, the confidence in the capacity to recover is high, due to the maturity of the industry and the rise of a positive regulatory framework that may benefit the entire productive chain. It is during these tough times that the leaders emerge. With a significant participation in national economic development, the shipbuilding industry is of strategic importance to Brazil. We at UBM Brazil have no shadow of doubt that the industry will go through this cycle and, for that reason, we support every initiative in order to further the market, therefore, Marintec South America – Navalshore is a sure sign of our commitment and faith towards the industry. The event’s goal is to foster the local shipbuilding and ship repairing, providing the background where exhibitors, industry association and governmental bodies discuss the industry’s key issues, exchange experiences and close deals.
