Als ich meine Arbeit über die Abnormitäten der Clausiliiden veröffentlichte1), war ich mir dessen wohl bewußt, daß sie nie vollständig werden würde, denn die Angaben sind allzusehr in einer umfang reichen, oft nicht leicht zu beschaffenden Literatur versteckt. Ich kann bereits jetzt einen kleinen Nach trag liefern, den ich hauptsächlich den Zuschriften verschiedener Fachgenossen verdanke. Vor allem zu Dank verpflichtet bin ich jedoch den Herren Dr. Lajos Soös, Hofrat Dr. Rudolf Sturany und Dr. Wolfgang Adensamer, die mir bei meinen kürzlichen Besuchen in Budapest und Wien in lie benswürdiger Weise Zutritt zu den von ihnen betrauten Sammlungen verschafften, sodaß ich dieClausilii- dae dieser Museen durchsehen konnte. Zuerst sei noch einmal kurz auf die Einflüsse eingegangen, unter denen sich Albinos in einiger An zahl finden. Einmal nimmt anscheinend die Häufig keit solcher pigmentloser Exemplare unter bestimm ten ökologischen Bedingungen besonders zu, wie vor allem in kühlen, feuchten Gebirgstälern, wie sie sich am meisten in zerklüfteten Kalkgebirgen finden, ferner im Hochgebirge. Andererseits ist ja beobachtet, daß bei einer Anzahl von Gattungen(Fusulus, Laciniaria, Cochlodina, Delima) Albinismus nicht selten auftritt, während er bei andern kaum beobachtet wirdClau (- i) Arch. -

Rodríguez (*) RESUMEN En este trabajo se realiza un estudio faunístico de las especies de la Superfamilia Vitrinoidea Fitzinger, 1833, encontradas en el oeste de Galicia (provincias de A Coruña y Pontevedra). Para cada especie se incluyen citas previas y localidades de captura, así como sus respectivos mapas de distribución, en cuadrículas 10 x 10 Km U.T.M. Se cons- tata la presencia de Aegopinella pura (Alder, 1830) en el área de estudio y se cita por primera vez Oxychilus glaber (Rossmässler, 1835) en la provincia de Pontevedra Palabras Clave: Gastropoda, Pulmonata, Vitrinoidea, distribución, Galicia. ABSTRACT An actualitation to the knowledge of the distribution of the Superfamily Vitrinoidea Fitzinger, 1833 (Gastropoda, Pulmonata) in the west of Galicia A faunistic study of species of Superfamily Vitrinoidea Fitzinger, 1833, in the west of Galicia (A Coruña and Pontevedra provinces) has been realized. For each species the previous cite and the localities where the species have been found, are included, as well as a map showing the distribution of each species, using U.T.M. 10 x 10 Km system. We corroborate the presence of Aegopinella pura (Alder, 1830) in the study area and Oxychilus glaber (Rossmässler, 1835) is recorded for first time from Pontevedra pro- vince. Molluscs of the Dürrenstein Wilderness Area
Molluscs of the Dürrenstein Wilderness Area S a b i n e F ISCHER & M i c h a e l D UDA Abstract: Research in the Dürrenstein Wilderness Area (DWA) in the southwest of Lower Austria is mainly concerned with the inventory of flora, fauna and habitats, interdisciplinary monitoring and studies on ecological disturbances and process dynamics. During a four-year qualitative study of non-marine molluscs, 96 sites within the DWA and nearby nature reserves were sampled in cooperation with the “Alpine Land Snails Working Group” located at the Natural History Museum of Vienna. Altogether, 84 taxa were recorded (72 land snails, 12 water snails and mussels) including four endemics and seven species listed in the Austrian Red List of Molluscs. A reference collection (empty shells) of molluscs, which is stored at the DWA administration, was created. This project was the first systematic survey of mollusc fauna in the DWA. Further sampling might provide additional information in the future, particularly for Hydrobiidae in springs and caves, where detailed analyses (e.g. anatomical and genetic) are needed. Novaj; Hungary) A. Dávid Abstract: Among the Egerian Age exposures of North-east Hungary the Molluscan Clay of Wind Brickyard (Eger) and Nyárjas Hill (Novaj) contain fossils in exceptional richness. Distribution of molluscs of the Molluscan Clay of these two outcrops according to habitats and feeding habits is examined and compared. There are definite differences between the two localities. Introduction Among the several Upper-Oligocene outrops of North-Hungary the Molluscan Clay layers «f _Wind Brickyard, Eger and Nyárjas Hill, Novaj is compared (Fig.l.). These layers contain well-preserved „micro-mollusc" fossils abudantly. The bivalves, gastropods and schaphopods which were living here during the Egerian stage have belonged into the Hinia — Cadulus fossil community. It refers to similar paleoenvironments in case of both localities. The sea was deeper than 120 metres and the bottom was covered by fine-gra ined, clayey sediments. The aim of the investigation was to examine the distribution of the molluscs according to habitats and feeding habits in the collected materials. Methods Fifteen kilograms of clay was taken from both localities. After drying the samples were treated with hot water and peroxide of hydrogen. This material was washed out through a 0,5 nun sieve. At the end the molluscan remains were assorted from among the other fossils (e.gJ^oraminifera, Decapoda, Echinoidea, Osteichthyes). -

STOYANOV Abstract: During faunistic investigations in diverse regions of Bulgaria, 8 gastropod specimens (6 species) with diverse morphological anomalies of the shell and body were found. These include specimens of: 1) Rapana venosa (VALENCIENNES 1846) with atypical, high-conic (scalarid) shells; 2) Planorbis planorbis (LINNAEUS 1758) with an aberrantly (deviation from the coiling surface) coiled shell; 3) Stagnicola palustris (O. F. MÜLLER 1774) with an entirely uncoiled shell; 4) Laciniaria plicata (DRAPARNAUD 1801) with abnormally uncoiled last whorl accompanied with a bend of the axis of the shell spires; 5) Umax {Umax) punctulatus SORDELLI 1870 with an abnormal formation of the posterior part of foot; and 6) Helix pomatia rhodopensis KOBELT 1906 with an oddly shaped ommathophore. These observations are attributed to mechanical injuries (traumatic or caused by parasite invasion trough the mantle), genetic anomalies, atavisms, and regenerative processes. Historia naturalis bulgarica, 21: 13-48, 2015 Terrestrial gastropods (Mollusca, Gastropoda) of Strandzha Mountain and the Black Sea coast (Bulgaria and Turkey) Atanas Irikov, Ivelin Mollov Abstract: The current synopsis presents an overview of the terrestrial malacofauna of Strandzha Mountain in Bulgaria and Turkey, based on previously published and new data. As a result of the research we recorded 101 species and subspecies of ter- restrial molluscs belonging to 27 families. The data on the terrestrial malacofauna from the Turkish part of Strandzha is entirely new and presented here for the first time. The synopsis includes a list of synonymous species and subspecies concerning the area of research, all known localities, new localities reported for 50 taxa, systematic and environmental data.
