Littleleaf Sage x jamensis Also known as: Baby Sage, Sage Salvia microphylla, Salvia x microphylla Rating: 0.0 ( 0 votes)

This description is for Littleleaf Sage (Salvia x jamensis):

A hybrid of and Salvia microphylla, there is little to distinguish Salvia x jamensis from either of its parents. It has small, ovate mid-green leaves, just a few centimetres in length. The Littleleaf Sage is a woody perennial that, in summer, has a delicate sprinkling of two-lipped tubular blossoms. The bottom lip fans out, while the top is a narrow hood, and depending on the variety can be hot red, baby pink or magenta. An aggressive spreader, it thrives in well-drained loam soil and is an impressive addition to an informal garden.
