Known for her scrupulous case preparation, she provides invaluable assistance in a range of cases in both the Magistrates’ and Crown Court. Before starting her training contract, Amelia assisted a team in two multi- defendant cases securing the acquittal of clients prosecuted by both the HMRC and DWP. Amelia ’s training focused on defending professionals in regulatory and disciplinary proceedings before the GMC, GDC, NMC, HCPC and NHS England as well as University bodies and representing professionals at Inquests. She was also involved in the preparation of a high-profile anti-doping matter before the GMC and assisted on clinical negligence claims. Amelia went on to assist in general criminal matters, with a focus on tax evasion, money laundering and fraud. Her knowledge of business crime is extensive. Amelia focussed her academic studies on Equity Capital Markets, Mergers & Acquisitions and Debt Finance. As a result, she can apply her knowledge of business law to cases involving financial institutions, regulators and government bodies. Amelia is passionate in providing legal advice and support to those who need it most. During her Legal Practice Course, she participated in several Pro Bono initiatives within the Legal Advice Centre, Witness Service and criminal court system. As a result of her voluntary work within the community, she was awarded the Pro Bono Award Scholarship. Amelia graduated in Law & Sociology from the University of Warwick and went on to complete a Masters in Legal Practice. Amelia is studying to become a Higher Rights Advocate.
