Learn the fundamentals of celebrating Shabbat: the rituals, customs and music that are part of the most important Holy Day of the Jewish calendar. This workshop may be of special value to those who will be attending the Fall Congregational Shabbat Dinner and Service on Friday, October 25. For more info or if you plan to attend, please call Hannah Moore (533-9640) or Dan Blalock (938-2554) We are looking forward to another wonderful Shabbat Dinner. We will be following the procedures that have been successfully implemented at past years dinners. All children will participate in the worship service at 6:30 pm. Following the service children under six will participate in a special Shabbat program of singing and entertainment. Dessert will be served during the childrens program, but they will not be seated for dinner. Therefore, please give your child(ren) under six dinner before coming to the temple. While adults and older children are having dinner in the social hall, the younger children will be supervised by our temple teens. However, we will not be providing babysitters for infants. The program is designed for children who are comfortable without parents present in a setting with other children. At the conclusion of the program the children will join parents in the social hall for more Shabbat songs and celebration. We know that with your cooperation this will be a wonderful evening for everyone to enjoy. Please mail in your reservation early as this event is usually a sell-out.
