Disney Cinderella KIDS - Character List

Here is a basic breakdown of the characters in Disney’s Cinderella KIDS. We have added a “pre-show” scene, and intermission sequence to add lines for characters, but there may be more opportunity to add lines and/or solos.

NARRATORS – The four Narrators in the story are really four different fairytale characters! They have many lines, and appear throughout the entire show, including as guests at the ball. CINDERELLA – The main focus of the show is of course around Cinderella, a poor girl forced to work hard for her mean Stepmother and Stepsisters. Cinderella has a lot of lines, and sings solo in several songs. PRINCE – The Prince is being pressured by his parents to get married, but hasn’t found the right girl yet. He has many lines, and sings solo in “So This is Love”. FAIRY GODMOTHER – When Cinderella feels there is no hope, in comes the Fairy Godmother to make her dreams come true! Fairy Godmother has many lines, and sings solo in “Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo”. STEPMOTHER – The stepmother is a serious, mean, and scheming woman who wants nothing more than to make Cinderella’s life miserable while spoiling her daughters. She has many lines, but no solos. ANASTASIA and DRIZELLA – These silly, rude, and obnoxious girls have fun making Cinderella’s life difficult and unhappy. More interested in themselves than anything else, these two are a comedic addition to the show, with several lines and a small solo each in “Sing Sweet Nightingale”. LUCIFER (Evil Step-Cat) – Lucifer is bored with his pampered lifestyle, and so looks for ways to harass Cinderella and the household mice. A fun and challenging part, Lucifer does not have lines or solos. GRAND DUKE – The right hand man of the King, the Duke is charged with keeping an eye on the Prince, finding the girl who left the glass slipper, and generally keeping the royal family happy! This goofy mustached gentleman has many lines, but no solos. KING – The King is an impatient man used to getting what he wants. A big character with a lot of presence, the King is enthusiastic about finding a bride for the Prince. The King has many lines but no solos. QUEEN – The Queen is pure elegance and kindness! Always looking on the bright side of life, the Queen is confident that the Prince will find true love. Queen has many lines but no solos. CHESTER and SYLVESTER JESTERS – Definitely the comedy duo, the Jesters have many very funny lines, several solos, and opportunities for acrobatics. HERALD – A very important character, the Herald makes all announcements, and introduces the maidens at the ball. The Herald also attempts to announce intermission… constantly interrupted by the jesters. MAIDENS – The Maidens are actually different Princesses that live in the land! Rupunzel, Belle, Ariel, Snow White, Aurora, and Anna. These characters have many added lines each. MICE – The mice are Cinderella’s little friends. They are always there to comfort her, even re-making her dress to go to the ball! Some of the mice have lines (Jaq, Gus, and Perla), and several also have solos.
