Broadcast Pix Video Control Center 3 Create with Confidence - Exceptional Control

The best part about a Broadcast Pix system is the exceptional control that let’s you harness all of the power of its integrated studio.

Patented PixButtons Switch with Confidence

Confidence starts with the buttons on the panels. They have built-in displays that tells you exactly what you get when you press one. We call them PixButtons. They’re patented and unique to Broadcast Pix.

The top shows an icon with the device name, such as a clip, graphic or animation. Then it shows the file name, such as the Device Icon River clip in the example at the right, which is automatically taken from the clip file. It changes dynamically during your File-name production as you load different files. PixButtons tell at a glance what is loaded on every input, every key layer and every output. They also help control external devices like cameras, recorders and streamers, as well as macros and effects.

Patented Device Controls Access Anything

Enjoy rapid access to anything thanks to the panel’s patented device control bank, another Broadcast Pix uniqueness. Just select the internal or external device you want to control, and then the PixPad of 12 PixButtons let’s you quickly select the file you want. Flip through pages of files with the next button. The Fluent-View monitor follows along and shows you the thumbnail associated with each PixButton.

The device control bank also includes a 3 axis-joystick, knobs and motion controls - everything you need to control the internal clip server, CG, graphics system, key layers, macros and outputs, as well as all the external devices. It turns the switcher panel into a complete video control center.

Unique Fluent Macros Dazzling effects

Create amazing effects with the memory system that combines switcher moves with specific files, camera moves, and more.

Add magic to your show with the push of one button. Like this one with 3 PiPs in key layers, over an animated background file, plus a title file and animated logo file. Macros enable a novice to look like a pro.

The sophisticated Fluent-Macro editor remembers any sequence of button pushes, and then you can tweak them, adjust timing, and more. Only from Broadcast Pix.

Broadcast Pix Video Control Centers 4 Create with Confidence - Exceptional Control

Touch-Screen Control For the iPhone Generation

Touch-screen control is perfect for a whole new genera- tion of operators that touch their iPhones, Androids, iPads and Tablets. Touch-screen monitors are now so affordable - just add one to a Broadcast Pix system and you can learn to create great video in minutes. See page 11.

Broadcast Pix touch-screen control let’s you access all of the power in a Broadcast Pix video control center. There’s even a touch joystick. And Fluent-View let’s you customize your touch surface any way you want to.

And operators that prefer panel control will also find that touch-screens are a great complement to the panel.

Customizable Fluent-View Optimal Feedback for YOUR needs

Confidence rises when you have the best feedback for your production. Broadcast Pix Fluent-View is the most comprehensive heads-up feedback system in the industry, as described on the next page. It’s also the only multi- view that’s CUSTOMIZABLE for all of you inputs, outputs, key layers and files.

Get rid of unnecessary clutter. Every window on the Fluent-View can be moved, resized or deleted. Enlarge your most important monitors, as resolution is oversized. Customize the colors of the windows and backgrounds. Customize two monitor or up to four on Granite systems. Save custom layouts for each recurring show, and they load automatically when you start that show.

One Operator Be a “one-man-band”. Thanks to exceptional control and feedback, you can produce a show that makes it look like a team of operators must be doing it. Empowering a single Broadcast Pix operator also means dramatic savings in the cost of staffing and space.

Add Operators as You Need Add operators whenever you want to expand the production team. Add a graphics operator on the keyboard and mouse. Add someone on an iPad or on a Soft Panel on a laptop or Android. Add an iPhone operator on a PixPad app.

Add remote panels. They look like an aux panel, but their PixButtons let you do so much more, like see the name of each input and what file is loaded, and even fire-off Fluent Macros.

Remote Panel

Unattended Operation Host Override Panel

Voice Automated Productions

The VOX option creates live video without an operator. It’s great for adding video to a broadcast, or for producing a meeting. Mixer VOX detects which microphone is active and then triggers the right Fluent Macro. For example, when someone talks it detects their voice, and the video goes to their picture, and puts up their title. If they talk too long it might go VOX out to a different shot or to a wide shot or a 3 box to keep it interesting. VOX supports up to 8 microphones, and be cascaded to over a hundred. Broadcast The best part about VOX is Pix System its sophisticated software that determines which macros to run, pacing, mic priority, and graphics timing. That makes it look like someone must be producing it. A host override panel lets the host start it, stop it, run an opening, or any macro. And you can still add a panel to run some shows with an operator.

Broadcast Pix Video Control Center 7 Integrated Studio - Clip Server Touch them on the panel... The Broadcast Pix clip server puts many hours of clips at your finger- tips. Up to 30 hours on Mica, up to 180 hours on Granite and up to ...See them on the Fluent-View 120 hours on Slate. Granite and Mica systems have 1 clip channel plus 2 animation channels. Slate systems have 2 channels of clips.

Instant Access Select a clip store on the control panel and then all of the panel’s device controls are dedicated to it, including PixPad, knobs and motion controls. The PixPad shows the first 9 clips, or push next for the next 9. The clip names are on the buttons, so you know exactly which clip you are selecting. Look up at the Fluent-View to see a corresponding PixPad with the thumbnails for each clip, plus their file names and meta data, like whether the clip is set to auto-start.

Auto-Start and Playlists Auto Start... Auto Advance... Auto Transition Use the motion controls to manually start and stop clips, or take advantage of the clip store’s powerful automated features. Auto-start on transition to air. Create a playlist by setting clips to automatically play the next clip or to transition back to the talent. Set animations to loop for beautiful backgrounds. You can also scrub clips, set mark-in and out points, add refrain points and even aspect correction.

Dazzle with Animations Spice up your production with animations. Great for moving backgrounds, behind PiP boxes, or for moving titles or powerful transitions. Create animations on the built-in CG, or on your favorite animation system, including Apple Motion, Adobe After Effects, and Digital Juice. Easily create animated transitions by setting a cut point on the animation.

Popular Formats Use Fluent Watch-Folders to rapidly add clips and animations to your system from popular editing systems. Granite and Mica play 1080i, 720p or SD .mov or .mp4 clips in H.264 or ProRes in their clip store, as well as Avid DNxHD .mov clips in 1080i or 720p. They also play short QuickTime Animations and Targa sequences in their ProRes MP4 H.264 DNxHD animation stores. The Slate clip stores play HD or SD .mov clips in H.264, ProRes, DV and DVC PRO, and also animate a folder of Targa sequences. Clips and animations support audio through the QuickTime Animations system’s XLR outputs.
