109 Functions and powers (1) The Maunga Authority has the powers and functions conferred on it by or under this Act or any other enactment. (2) In exercising its powers and carrying out its functions in relation to the maunga, the Maunga Authority must have regard to— (a) the spiritual, ancestral, cultural, customary, and historical significance of the maunga to Ngā Mana Whenua o Tāmaki Makaurau; and (b) section 41(2). (3) In exercising its powers and carrying out its functions in relation to the adminis- tered lands, the Maunga Authority must have regard to the spiritual, ancestral, cultural, customary, and historical significance of the administered lands to Ngā Mana Whenua o Tāmaki Makaurau. This resolution is made to meet the directives within the Tūpuna Maunga o Tāmaki Makaurau Integrated Management Plan and aligns with the values and pathways set out in the Plan. 7 Auckland Kindergarten Association Lease

Moved: Deputy Chair A Filipaina, Seconded: K Wilson, That the Tūpuna Maunga o Tāmaki Makaurau Authority a. resolves to grant a lease to the Auckland Kindergarten Association Incorporated (AKA) for a term beginning at the expiry of their present lease and ending on 30 June 2019 with a right of renewal by AKA of a further one year until 30 June 2020. This resolution is made to meet the directives within the Tūpuna Maunga o Tāmaki Makaurau Integrated Management Plan and aligns with the values and pathways set out in the Plan.
