SCRA Swim Program Fall 2020

All participants must comply with all social distancing and safety protocols set forth by the University, State, and County guidelines.

Swim Team Program:

All Swim Programs at SCRA are designated to MEMBERS ONLY.

 Fall season: Monday, Oct 12 ends on Friday, December 18th.  Families must register online prior to the beginning of the season.  Swimmers will be divided into 3 different groups divided by age.  Groups of a maximum of 12 swimmers per class.  Online registration: Assigned lanes for each class.  6 lanes (lanes 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11) will be used for the swim team program and a buffer lane will be added dividing the team and the next LAP swimmer for general club use on existing reservation system. SCRA Lap pool has 11 lanes.  Swimmer on each side of the pool doing circle in the middle. (2/lane)  If you have swimmers in the same swim level but different ages please register them on the same group.  Lanes separate and Odd and Even sides.  Swimmers should always follow all social distance guidelines, wear a face- covering until the last minute to get in the water.  Swimmers should bring all gear inside a backpack or bag. Swimmers are responsible for their own gear and equipment.  Backpacks will be placed in the determined area of club six feet apart.  All swimming gear must be disinfected once swimmers arrive. (kickboards, fins, paddles, and pull buoy). Wipes provided.  No shareable equipment or swim gears.  15 min gap between groups to guarantee safe arrival and exiting the facility.  Parents can check-in the swimmers but must wait outside SCRA facility (e.g., in the car in the parking lot area).  Swimmers will be guided outside to the pickup area and/or their bikes.  Swimmers should arrive with a maximum of 5 min before their practice time.  Swim coaches and instructors must wear a face covering all times and respect all social distance protocols.  No changing in the facility. Swimmers must arrive with their on ready to swim.  Everything will be taught from the pool deck on the deep side of the pool and we must require all our new students to be independent, water safe swimmers, and be able to complete a full lap swimming with no assistance.  Swimmers shall not change from one group to another or attend more than one swim team, camp, or other recreational instruction, or program simultaneously outside of SCRA.  Swimmers and staff will be required to wear masks at all times except when in the pool.  Swimmers and staff will be required to stay home if they show any symptoms of illness. Must complete health check every day.

Spectators / Parents

We will NOT be allowing additional spectators at the club. Club usage will be limited to individuals swimming or swimmers participating on the team only. Parents with children in the team are not allowed to be in the pool area/deck. Parents with additional children, siblings, friends not participating in a swim program should remain away from the facility (e.g., at home or wait in the car). Parents, guests, and children will not be allowed to roam the facility.

Schedule: Monday, Wednesday or Friday

Group 1 and 2: 3:30 to 4:15 pm Group 1 Age: 6 and under Group 2 Age: 7-8 years old

Group 3 - 4:30 to 5:15 pm Group 3 Age: 9-11 years old

Group 4- 5:30 to 6:15 pm Group 4 Age: 12-15 years old

Groups description: Group 1 & 2 Details: Work on the basic foundations for proper swimming strokes while giving swimmers an introduction to practicing in a fun group environment. All swimmers must be water safe and able to complete one Lap in the pool swimming without assistance. Required swim gear: Cap, goggles, , Kickboard, Fins and water bottle (One- piece swimsuit, no rash guard shirts or pants)

Group 3 Details: Combines endurance, stroke technique with a fun group. Swimmers develop the four swimming strokes, starts, and turns while improving endurance. All swimmers must know the basics fundaments of the 4 strokes. Required swim gear: Cap, goggles, swimsuit, Kickboard, Fins and water bottle (One- piece swimsuit, no rash guard shirts or pants)

Group 4 Details: An engaging team environment with a specific focus on training combining endurance, speed, and technique. Swimmers train to improve technique and efficiency in the swimming strokes and build strength through it. Ideal to prepare them for a High School swim program and have a workout. All swimmers must know the basics fundaments of the 4 strokes. Required swim gear: Cap, goggles, swimsuit, Kickboard, Fins, Paddles, Pull-buoy and water bottle (One-piece swimsuit, no rash guard shirts or pants)

Registration Guideline:

Before Registering have the following information with you: Insurance Provider Insurance Policy Holder Credit card information

 Click on Fall Swim season or SHOP  Select the group and the day of your preference. (remember that you can only register your swimmer in one group and only one day)  The first field to complete is your Swimmer Information o “Please enter the name of the registrant”  First Name: (Swimmer Name)  Last Name: (Swimmer last name)  If you need to register more than one swimmer please add everything on your shopping cart.  Complete all required information.  Payment fields. There is no option for cash or check. All payments should be done by Credit Card.  You must receive an email confirming your registration (Please make sure you spell your email correctly or you will not receive any emails updates or information). Also, check your spam before reaching out to us.  After you Registration, Coach Daiane will follow up with some more information that you might need before the Swim Team starts.
