Cloth with some scuff marks and other minor wear. £500.00 Batchelor lived amongst the Ainu for some 60 years and, in addition to his missionary work, studied their language and culture. This is one of his most famous works. Part One comprises the famous Ainu-English-Japanese dictionary in 525 pages. The dictionary uses romanization to give the Ainu word. Part Two is the Grammar of the Ainu Language in 159 pp. Published by the Methodist Publish - ing House in Tokyo. The revised and enlarged second edition.
