GOALS OF THE CONFERENCE

Professional analyses by the European and regional experts who foresee an increased investment in new forestry and wood processing technologies in the following years, after Croatian and the neighboring countries’ accession into the European Union, particularly in replacement of outdated technologies which do not meet the EU criteria. Apart from important topics in the segment of sector strategies and raw material issues, the main objective of the Conference is familiarizing the industry representatives with the latest technologies and furniture production components and semi-finished products. Competitiveness as a precondition for growth and development of the sector becomes the dominant backbone of every company and therefore the application of innovation at all levels of business is one of the main ways to ensure the survival of the demanding European and world markets.

Taking into consideration significant consequences which the latest economy crisis left on this sector, the Organizers are expecting an intensive discussion on all current issues. It is important to note that public professionals have been informed about the details and planned content of the event through press releases. Can I sign up for lectures? All lecturers who want to elaborate a theme in correlation with the theme of the conference are welcome. The organizers invite them to send the proposals in the form of abstract lectures, no later than middle of May 2016. The Program Committee of the conference will inform the potential lecturers in due time regarding the proposed topics. The organizers also invite students and students of vocational schools and colleges to report their work in the form of posters which will be displayed in the lobby. For top rated posters, sponsors of the conference will provide an appropriate reward in the form of organizing the students’ visit to their production plants Europe.

Where will be the papers published? The organizer will issue Proceedings of the presentations which will be available to participants in the print and electronic form. Conclusions and recommendations of the conference will be posted within 7 days on the website and through the publication of the media sponsors within 30 days, together with the same display of other activities during the conference.
