Morning: Enjoy a private tour of Kronborg Castle, the historical setting of Shakespeare's Hamlet, before a visit to the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art. Take a stroll through the Museum's unparalleled grounds and shop their award-winning store. You will return to Hotel d'Angleterre before the early afternoon itinerary begins.
Day 1: Copenhagen Monday, August 24, 2020
Daytime: Arrive at Copenhagen Airport Kastrup and enjoy VIP transfer to the Hotel d'Angleterre. Walk across the King's New Square to enjoy a delicious welcome lunch before a private tour and concert at the Royal Danish Theatre's Old Stage.
Nighttime: Ring in the evening with a short discussion of palatial history and a cocktail reception in a private chamber of the Rosenborg Palace. Delight in an exclusive dinner featuring delicious local fare and special guests.
Day 2: Copenhagen Tuesday, August 25 , 2020
Daytime: Enjoy a behind the scenes tour and short performance at the state of the art Royal Opera House before boarding a private boat. After a leisurely ride through the canals with live music and cocktails, disembark for lunch at the bustling Nyhavns Faergekro before returning to the Hotel d'Angleterre to prepare for tonight's ceremony.
Nighttime: After a welcome cocktail reception and concert, test your target practice skills at the Royal Shooting Society. Nearby, enjoy the first of our Gold Medal in the Arts Ceremonies, hosted at the U.S. Ambassador's Residence before returning to your suite for the night. Daytime: Check out of Hotel d'Angleterre for your privately chartered flight to Helsinki, landing in the early afternoon given its +1 hour time difference. Enjoy lunch during the KCICA Summit meeting in the Mirror Room of the Hotel Kämp. Afterward, staff will be on-hand to support VIP check-in to the hotel and your luggage will be already awaiting you in your luxurious room.
Nighttime: Depart for the U.S. Ambassador's Residence for a panel discussion on art in Finland in the Embassy Atrium. Afterward, enjoy a reception, concert, and dinner at the residence before returning to Hotel Kämp. Day 4: Helsinki Thursday, August 27, 2020
Daytime: After an open air tram tour of Helsinki's center, hop aboard our chartered boat for another view: a peninsula tour of Helsinki's shores. Enjoy cocktails and lunch at Restaurant NJK, a beautiful eatery on the small island of Valkosaari.
Nighttime: Celebrate the Kennedy Center Gold Medal in the Arts Gala, honoring the very best artists from Finland. Day 5: Helsinki Friday, August 28, 2020
Daytime: Visit the gorgeous Helsinki Library ahead of an exclusive tour of the cutting edge Helsinki Musiikkitalo. End the morning with a private concert featuring talented musicians from the Sibelius Academy and a Finnish design talk and champagne welcome at iittala and Marimekko.
