This cleanliness levy serves to fulfill the routine needs of the regional treasury, regulate the health of the community and the environment, as well as to cover the costs of administering waste / cleaning services. This study aims to find out, analyze and describe how the implementation of Regional Regulations Regarding Cleaning Levies Against Creative Traders of Car Free Day in the “Bundaran Besar” Palangka Raya City. In thjs project, the Iocal dialect, called CLa-Cia, is taught in some elementary schools whiie Korean Hangul is adopted to transeribe the dialect. Some linguists have asserted that Hangul is phonetically less appropriate than the Roman alphabet fortranscr]bing Cia-Cia. The Cia-Cia's Adoption of the Korean Alphabet and Identity Politics in Decentralised Indonesia SEUNG-WON SONG Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, Yongin, South Korea [email protected] Abstract. This study1 investigates the motives behind the adoption of Hangeul, the Korean alphabet, by the Cia-Cia ethnic group in Baubau, Sulawesi, Indonesia. The import of Hangeul exemplifies how Indonesian peripheries have tried to form their own regions as distinctive entities against the nation. Their attempts to do so expand beyond the nation in hopes of emerging as new centres in a decentralised Indonesia, in which new power dynamics can be negotiated. Furthermore, this case portrays how the local population copes with growing ethnic identities and the mission of modernisation simultaneously. Keywords and phrases: Hangeul in Buton, Cia-Cia ethnic group, Indonesia's identity politics Introduction In August 2009, Amirul Tamim, the Mayor (2003–2012) of Baubau City on Buton Island, located in the south-eastern part of Sulawesi, announced that the Cia-Cia ethnic group in the region had just adopted Hangeul, the Korean alphabet, as a transcription tool for its ethnic language. This ethnic group, with a population of approximately 60,000, lives primarily in the Buton district and the nearby islands; however, one-third of the ethnic group now resides in Baubau.2 This export of Hangeul was initiated by the Hunmin Jeongeum Society,3 a scholarly association consisting of several linguists in Korea. For the past decade, this association has attempted to export Hangeul to a number of remote areas in countries such as China, Nepal and Thailand. -
Indonesia's Sustainable Development Projects
a INDONESIA’S SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS PREFACE Indonesia highly committed to implementing and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Under the coordination of the Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas, Indonesia has mainstreamed SDGs into National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN) and elaborated in the Government Work Plan (RKP) annual budget documents. In its implementation, Indonesia upholds the SDGs principles, namely (i) universal development principles, (ii) integration, (iii) no one left behind, and (iv) inclusive principles. Achievement of the ambitious SDGs targets, a set of international commitments to end poverty and build a better world by 2030, will require significant investment. The investment gap for the SDGs remains significant. Additional long-term resources need to be mobilized from all resources to implement the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. In addition, it needs to be ensured that investment for the SDGs is inclusive and leaves no one behind. Indonesia is one of the countries that was given the opportunity to offer investment opportunities related to sustainable development in the 2019 Sustainable Development Goals Investment (SDGI) Fair in New York on April 15-17 2019. The SDGI Fair provides a platform, for governments, the private sectors, philanthropies and financial intermediaries, for “closing the SDG investment gap” through its focus on national and international efforts to accelerate the mobilization of sufficient investment for sustainable development. Therefore, Indonesia would like to take this opportunity to convey various concrete investment for SDGs. The book “Indonesia’s Sustainable Development Project” shows and describes investment opportunities in Indonesia that support the achievement of related SDGs goals and targets. -

MICHAEL BUEHLER - 17 APR, 2018 In 2012, Dino Patti Djalal, then the Indonesian ambassador to the United States, launched the rst Congress of Indonesian Diasporas. The congress was held in Los Angeles with the aim of increasing the visibility of Indonesians living abroad. The Indonesian government’s publicity campaign culminated in a keynote speech by former US-president Barack Obama at the 4th Congress of Indonesian Diasporas, held at the exclusive Kota Kasablanka shopping and hotel complex in Jakarta in July 2017. The audience at the 2017 congress consisted mainly of business tycoons, military gures, politicians, and starlets from the entertainment industry. For instance, speakers at the panel “Opportunities and Risks for Indonesia” included Sri Mulyani Indrawati, Indonesia’s Finance Minister; Bambang Susantono, Vice-President for Knowledge Management and Sustainable Development of the Asian Development Bank; as well as Helman Sitohang, CEO of Credit Suisse Asia Pacic. Pettarani No. 72 Makassar1,2,3,4,5 Abstract. This paper contains a description of the posuo ritual in the Baubau community. This study aims to explore and understand the values of religious character education contained in the posuo culture in the Baubau community. Collecting data through in-depth interviews, observation and literature study. This research reveals that the posuo ritual is a custom of the people of Baubau City which is very important in shaping the character of girls before marriage so that they have a positive outlook. Posuo aims to be implemented for humanity. In practice, posuo is carried out by teenage girls, who are required to go through posuo before marriage, because in the posuo there is guidance for moral education. Through this moral education, marriage provision is inherited as an important part in the phase of character building in the household system. The contextualization of the posuo is a major part of the continuation of the marriage, which is expected to be a form of inheritance of religious education in the family, with the main hope of forming Sakinah, Mawaddah, wa rahmah. So that the complete knowledge of the inheritance of the posuo is also expected to prevent and / or reduce the divorce rate. Another advantage of holding this posuo ritual is because in the ritual process it can improve the relationship between fellow Baubau City residents.
