They (dogs & cats) are Czech glass and were originally made as prizes/charms that were inside Cracker Jack boxes. Some were added to intaglios (also Czech glass) and salts and other small items. My little dark amethyst glass dog has a metal collar with a red bead attached and sits on an amber intaglio. I sold a blue dog on a clear intaglio to Debi years ago and had a couple of cats on intaglios that I also sold but can't remember to who...maybe Mary?? The cats and dogs are often found on eBay and are quite pricey...here are a couple examples presently on eBay...Item #201419166518 & #400987864961. It is much harder to find them attached to an intaglio with a "shelf" for them to sit or in your case a salt that would accommodate the little cat or dog...nice find!! 39 Joan F. I knew nothing about that type of glass, but when I looked it up, it seemed to fit. I found this piece for sale with cherries.

All ECTC meetings and events will be taking place in the Dolphin building of the resort. This premier international conference of the global microelectronic packaging industry is sponsored by the IEEE Components, Packaging, and Manufacturing Technology (CPMT) Society. The ECTC Program Committee has selected 335 papers that will be presented in 36 oral sessions and five interactive presentation sessions, including one interactive presentation session exclusively featuring papers by student authors. The oral sessions will feature selected papers on key topics such as flip chip packaging, 3D/TSV technologies, wafer level packaging, design for RF performance and signal/power integrity, thermal and mechanical modeling, optoelectronics packaging, and materials and reliability.
