To: Nadia K. McConnell, President The Boards of Directors and Advisors, Donors and Friends From: John A. Kun, Vice President/Chief Operating Officer Date: June 30, 2017 Re: 2016 Annual Giving Campaign (September 1, 2015 – August 31, 2016)

It is my pleasure to report that during U.S.-Ukraine Foundation’s Silver Anniversary the 2016 Annual Giving Campaign received private cash and non-cash gifts totaling $452,915 from 461 donors.

Aiding our fundraising efforts this year were our two Ukraine in Washington conferences, the September 2015 Forum: Ukraine's Ongoing Battle for Freedom - The Risk of Western Failure in Political, Economic and Humanitarian Assistance and our March 2017 Forum: Ukraine's Battle for Freedom Continues, during which we were honored to host Ukraine’s President Petro Poroshenko. These events raised nearly $100,000 in program sponsorships.

Cash gifts totaled $304,415 and non-cash gifts totaled $148,500 during the year. This latter amount was realized through the Foundation's Humanitarian Program efforts during the year, with special thanks going to our many volunteers, especially Tetyana Neeley, and the Brother's Brother Foundation. The non-cash amount represents gifts of medical supplies and equipment that have been shipped to medical facilities in Kharkiv, Ukraine.

When considering the additional, volunteer gifts of in-kind services, which totaled $254,943 for the past year, the total amount of “contributions” in support of the Foundation equals $707,858. This amount is 83% of the Foundation's total revenue of $852,073 for the year. Other program-related revenue, including grant funds from the Open World Program of $91,301, constitutes the remaining income of $144,215 (of the $852,073 total).

The private gifts and many donated hours of service by volunteers illustrate the wide public support for the mission of the U.S.-Ukraine Foundation. Friends and donors make it possible for the Foundation to continue its much-needed work in support of the People of Ukraine. I thank all our donors and volunteers for their generosity of time and/or money.

This information is also being posted on our website and is reflected in our financial statements.

Your continued generosity is sought for our 2017 Annual Giving Campaign which is currently underway!
