Special Traffic and Transport Arrangements for Public Procession on 12 May 2019

Members of the public are advised in order to facilitate the public processions in Kowloon, the following special traffic and transport arrangements will be implemented from 2.00 pm to 6.00 pm on 12 May 2019 (Sunday):

A. TEMPRORARY LANE CLOSURES Traffic lanes on the following road sections will be intermittently closed by phases: (a) Road southbound between Cheung Sha Wan Playground and Wong Chuk Street; (b) northbound between Wong Chuk Street and ; (c) southbound between Boundary Street and Jordan Road; (d) Jordan Road westbound between Nathan Road and ; and (e) Canton Road southbound between Jordan Road and Salisbury Road.

B. BUS DIVERSIONS

Some of the bus routes operating along Cheung Sha Wan Road and Jordan Road have to be diverted with the details as below: Bus routes nos. Direction Diversion before resuming normal routeing KMB 6, 6C, 6F, 30X, 35A, Towards Mei Foo / Lai via Nathan Road, , Wong 41, 42A, 45, 52X, 58X, 59X, Kok / So Uk and New Chuk Street and Cheung Sha Wan 60X, 67X, 69X, 81, 98C, Territories Road/ 234X, 238X, 265B, 270B and 296C; Cross Harbour Routes 102, 112, 171, 904, 905, 970 and 970X; and NWFB 796C.

CTB A20, E21 and E21A To Lantau via Nathan Road, Lai Chi Kok Road, Wong Chuk Street and Cheung Sha Wan Road.

CTB E21 and E21A To Tai Kok Tsui / Oi Man via Cheung Sha Wan Road, , Lai Chi Kok Road, and Road / Argyle Street.

CTB A20 To Hung Hom via Cheung Sha Wan Road, Yen Chow Street and Lai Chi Kok Road,.

KMB 33A, 37, 66X and To Tai Kok Tsui via Cheung Sha Wan Road, Kiu Kiang 68X Street, Fuk Wa Street, Yen Chow Street, Lai Chi Kok Road, Shanghai Street and Argyle Street.

KMB 238X To China Ferry Terminal via Cheung Sha Wan Road, Kiu Kiang Street, Fuk Wa Street, Yen Chow Street, Lai Chi Kok Road, Shanghai Street, Kansu Street, Ferry Street and Canton Road.

KMB 60X and 69X To West Kowloon Station via Cheung Sha Wan Road, Kiu Kiang Street, Fuk Wa Street, Yen Chow Street, Lai Chi Kok Road, Shanghai Street, Kansu Street, Ferry Street, Canton Road, Wui Cheung Road and Wui Man Road.

KMB 234X To Tsim Sha Tsui East via Cheung Sha Wan Road, Kiu Kiang () Street, Fuk Wa Street, Yen Chow Street, Lai Chi Kok Road and Nathan Road.

KMB 3C To China Ferry Terminal via Nathan Road, , Shanghai Street, Kansu Street, Ferry Street and Canton Road.

KMB 8 To MTR Kowloon Station via Nathan Road, Public Square Street, Shanghai Street, Kansu Street, Yan Cheung Road, Hoi Wang Road and Jordan Road.

KMB 203E To MTR Kowloon Station via Shanghai Street, Kansu Street, Yan Cheung Road, Hoi Wang Road and Jordan Road.

KMB 36B and 46, To West Kowloon Station via Shanghai Street, Kansu Street, Yan Cheung Road, Hoi Wang Road, Jordan Road, Roundabout, Jordan Roan and Hoi Wang Road.

KMB 42A, 81 and 95 To West Kowloon Station via Nathan Road, Public Square Street, Shanghai Street, Kansu Street, Yan Cheung Road, Hoi Wang Road, Jordan Road, Roundabout, Jordan Roan and Hoi Wang Road.

KMB 63X and 268X To West Kowloon Station via Shanghai Street, Kansu Street, Ferry Street Canton Road, Wui Cheung Road and Wui Man Road.

Affected bus stops will be suspended and replacement stops will be provided until the traffic resumes normal.

C. ATTENTION AND APPEAL

Actual implementation of the lane closures, traffic control and public transport diversions will be made by the Police at the time depending on the prevailing circumstances, traffic and crowd conditions in the areas. Notices will be put up by public transport operators to advise passengers of the above temporary arrangements. The passengers should pay attention to the arrangements of route diversions and suspension of stops.

Members of the public who plan to go to the affected area are advised to plan their journeys earlier, use alternative routes, and allow more traveling time to cater for unexpected delay. Motorists are also advised to avoid driving to the affected areas. They should exercise tolerance and patience in case of traffic congestion, take heed of instruction given by the Police; and watch out for the latest traffic news to be broadcasted by the media.
