Geiriau Am Gerddoriaeth TAG Cymraeg Iaith Gyntaf - Uned 2 Ffair Ffurfiau Noder bod modd darllen pob blog yn ‘fyw’ trwy glicio ar y ddolen islaw pob pennawd. Mae’r testun mewn lliw gwyrddlas yn y dogfennau yma yn dangos pob dolen y gellid ei dilyn ar y fersiwn ‘byw’. GEIRIAU AM GERDDORIAETH Welodd ‘na neb 2017 yn dod… ac oes modd rhagweld 2018? https://sonamsin.cymru/2018/01/09/2017/ IONAWR 9, 2018 ‘Da ni’n siarad mewn seiniau. Space Pop. Slacker Rock. ‘Da ni’n siarad am Gaerfyrddin, am Lanrwst, am Gaerdydd. ‘Da ni’n sôn am Libertino. ‘Da ni’n sôn am Neb, ond yn sôn am bawb, yn cynnwys merched. ‘Da ni’n sôn am Aros o Gwmpas, heb aros yn ein hunfan. ‘Da ni’n sôn am ddyfodol Ffarout, yn nwylo Los Blancos, Cadno a Hyll. ‘Da ni’n sôn am sîn sydd yn adnewyddu ei hun, Adwaith ar ôl Adwaith. ‘Da ni’n sôn am Ani Glass. Class. ‘Da ni’n sôn am y Pasta, y Pys a’r Papur, yr Alffa a’r Omaloma. Does neb yn ein rheoli ni, a ni sydd yn gyfrifol am ein ffawd ein hunain. Chwalu bob dim. Smash ‘em. Mae unrhyw beth yn bosib. Mi allwch chi wneud deg sigarét bara’ am byth, hyd yn oed. Mae’r allt, hir, serth, a’r pwysau trwm yn eich dwylo yn Hen Hanes, ac mae egni newydd, gobeithiol 2017 yn barod i’w orfodi ei hun ar gynfas wag 2018. Achw met. Welodd ‘na neb 2017 yn dod. Heblaw am isymwybod Gruff Libertino, efallai. Mae popeth yn teimlo’n ffres, a’r peth gorau am yr holl beth yw’r ffaith nad yw’r gorau y tu ôl i ni. Mae mwy i ddod gan y don newydd o artistiaid sydd yn brwydro’n galed i fod yn gyfoes ac yn gyfredol, ac yn gwrthod setlo ar hen soffa gyfarwydd SRG y blynyddoedd a fu. Lle awn ni rwan, ar ôl cyrraedd y ‘brig’? Newid y ‘brig’, dyna be’. Dydy popeth ddim yn berffaith ac yn bur, ac mae dylanwadau artistiaid fel Tame Impala a Mac DeMarco mor amlwg â theulu o bengwins yn y Sahara, ond ‘da ni’n mynd i rywle. Efallai fy mod i wedi cyffroi’n ormodol am ambell artist, ond dyna sy’n wych. Mae artistiaid yn chwilio am eich emosiynau chi ac yn barod i’ch tywys ar daith, nid yn barod i gyfeilio eich taith flynyddol i gae’r Eisteddfod. Lle awn ni rwan? Dim syniad. Mae angen Ffair Ffurfiau | Cyfres o flogiau 1 TAG Cymraeg Iaith Gyntaf - Uned 2 Ffair Ffurfiau mwy o gigs, mae angen mwy o gyfleoedd i glywed y cyffro a sbardunodd y newid yn 2017 yn fyw o’n blaenau. Mae angen mwy o albyms, mae angen mwy o back catalogue i sbio’n ôl mewn pum mlynedd. Dw i isio barnu pumed albwm Los Blancos am fod yn rhy poppy yn 2025. Dw i isio canmol Adwaith am gofleidio hip hop yn eu pedwerydd albwm. Dw i isio clywed albwm back to basics Yr Eira, dw i isio clywed Fleur De Lys yn troi pennau’r beirniaid mwyaf llym ar ôl rhyddhau eu seithfed albwm gysyniadol. Dw i isio gweld pethau’n Datblygu ac yn adnewyddu cyn chwalu. Dw i isio casau, dw i isio gwironi. ‘Dw i wedi ceisio gorfodi rhyw naratif ar y flwyddyn, fel ymateb, ac fel gwrthwyneb i’r hyn a fu, ac efallai nad ydych yn cytuno. Efallai eich bod yn meddwl bod 2017 wedi bod yn flwyddyn ‘ddiddorol’, ac yn flwyddyn o ambell diwn. Gwych, cawn adael 2017 yn y fan a’r lle. Ond i mi, mi fuaswn i wrth fy modd yn meddwl ein bod ni wedi dechrau rhywbeth pwysig a chyffrous, a mewn gwirionedd, os mae ‘na ddigon o bobl yn barod i wthio’r naratif hwn ac yn barod i brofi hyn yn wir, dyma’n union wnaiff ddigwydd. Dim amheuaeth. ‘Alla i ddim meddwl am 2017 heb feddwl am y dyfodol. Ym mhob ffordd, mi o’n i’n caru, casau a theimlo dim byd am 2017. Gwobrau SaS 2017! https://sonamsin.cymru/2018/01/04/gwobrau-sas-2017/ IONAWR 4, 2018 Gyda blwyddyn arall wedi mynd heibio, mae’n amser dilyn trywydd traddodiadol a gwobrwyo ein hoff bethau o 2017. Cafwyd nifer o senglau ac EPs gan fandiau newydd a chyffrous, tra’r oedd rhai o’r artistiaid mwyaf profiadol yn rhyddhau albyms gwych. ‘Doedd pob penderfyniad ddim yn hawdd o bell ffordd, a gallwch wylio Chris a Geth yn dadlau trafod y categorïau draw ar ein tudalen Facebook ni. Mae eu roc arbrofol fel y clywir ar eu EP,Torpido am wneud set ddiddorol. Prin yw’r cyfleoedd wedi bod i weld Serol Serol ers ymddangosiad y band dros yr haf felly pam ddim manteisio ar y siawns i’w gweld nhw’n chwarae ar dir cartref? The IWA is an independent organisation owing no allegiance to any political or economic interest group. Our only interest is in seeing Wales flourish as a country in which to work and live. We are funded by a range of organisations and individuals, including the Joseph Rowntree Charitable Trust, the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation, and the Waterloo Foundation. The H’mm Foundation is named after H’m, a volume of poetry by R.S. Thomas, and because the musing sound ‘H’mm’ is an internationally familiar ‘expression’, crossing all linguistic frontiers. This literary venture has already secured the support of well-known poets and writers, including Gillian Clarke, National Poet for Wales, Jon Gower, Menna Elfyn, Nigel Jenkins, Peter Finch and Gwyneth Lewis.

UK Music is the umbrella body representing the collective interests of the UK’s commercial music industry, from songwriters and composers to artists and musicians, studio producers, music managers, music publishers, major and independent record labels, music licensing companies and the live music sector. 2. UK Music exists to represent the UK’s commercial music sector, to drive economic growth and promote the benefits of music to British society. A full list of UK Music members can be found in annex. 3. In the latest edition of our Measuring Music 1 report our research found that the UK Music Industry contributes £4.5 billion GVA to the UK Economy. The music industry also generated £2.6 billion in export revenues. Live music contributes £991m GVA to the economy and generated £80 million in export revenues. The UK Music Industry employs 145,815 people, with 28,659 of these employees being based in the Live sector. Grassroots Music Venues 4. UK Music was supportive of the Save Womanby Street campaign in 2017 working closely with Kevin Brennan MP and Jo Stevens MP on exploring what policy could help save this area of cultural significance due to the number of venues on the street. We have continued our work with Kevin and Jo in advocating for the protection of Welsh grassroots music venues in the Houses of Parliament alongside our partners the Music Venue Trust. 5. Grassroots music venues are often the first step onto the talent pipeline for emerging musicians.

  • TAC Response to Holding the BBC to Account for the Delivery of Its Mission and Public
Response to Ofcom Consultation: Holding the BBC to account for the delivery of its mission and public purposes July 2017 TAC Response: Holding the BBC to account for the delivery of its mission and public purposes 2 ____________________________________________________________________________________________________ About TAC 1. TAC is the trade association which represents the independent TV production sector in Wales, which is comprised of over 40 companies making TV content for all the UK Public Service networks, plus BBC Wales and S4C, as well as being involved in international co-productions. Like all current content production companies, TAC’s members work across online platforms and many also make radio, including for national BBC stations Radio Wales and Radio Cymru. 2. During the BBC Charter Review process, TAC supported the idea of Ofcom regulating the BBC and put the arguments for doing so directly to Sir David Clementi and the then Secretary of State for Culture, Media & Sport, as well as putting them in its written response to the Green Paper. We are therefore pleased that Charter Review decided that the BBC should be externally regulated by Ofcom, and look forward to working with Ofcom going forward. 3. Clearly, the operating licence and operating framework form an important part of Ofcom’s regulation of the BBC, and contain key provisions relating to the BBC’s relationship with the creative industries. Capacity of the production sector in Wales 4. On a general level, we would like to reiterate a point we have raised with Ofcom previously regarding its 2015 review of the TV production sector, which reproduced inaccurate figures from a research report claiming that Wales had only ten active TV production companies1.
