2. Transportation Information to Techny Towers:

Techny Towers is located between Glenview and Northbrook, at 2001 Waukegan Boulevard, one mile north of Willow Rd. It is 19 miles from downtown and 12 miles from O’Hare Airport.

Arriving by Car: From North via Highway 94: stay on 94 South to the Northbrook exit which is Waukegan Rd. Continue 2 miles south on Waukegan Rd. to Techny Towers on the left. From South via Highway 94 (Edens Expressway): exit at Willow Rd. (Exit #33A, west). Go two miles west on Willow Rd. to Highway #43 (Waukegan Rd.), turn right on 43 to Techny Towers. From south via Highway 294 (route from O’Hare airport: exit airport toward Chicago and take #294 North). Exit at Willow Rd. and turn right. Take Willow Rd. east for 3 miles to Highway #43 (Waukegan Rd.). Turn left on 43 to Techny Towers.

Taxi Information: (NOTE that the fares are subject to change) From O’Hare Airport – For taxi service from O’Hare Airport to Techny Towers, call after picking up your luggage. You can call using the numbers provided below, or use a courtesy phone and dial the number for American Taxi. The cab company will give you a cab number and a door number (lower level) where your reserved cab will pick you up. Driver will have your name. Do not make the mistake of hailing a city cab parked outside the airport: these fares will range from $50 to $75!

Walk or take a taxi 3 blocks North on Clinton St. to . At Union Station, take the North Line to Northbrook. At Northbrook, take a taxi about 2 miles to Techny Towers. Option 2 : At the airport, take the Metra Milwaukee West Line (runs Mon – Friday only) located near O’Hare parking Lot F. Take the Metra train to Chicago Union Station. Transfer to Metra Milwaukee North Line and take it to Northbrook. At Northbrook, take a taxi about 2 miles to Techny Towers.

To O’Hare: Take a taxi from Techny Towers to the Northbrook Metra Station, about 2 miles. Take the Metra Milwaukee North Line to downtown Chicago Union Station. Option 1: Exit Union Station, take a taxi or walk 3 blocks South on Clinton to the CTA Blue Line (the “L”). This will take you directly to the airport. Option 2: Stay within Union Station and transfer to the Milwaukee West Line. Take the Metra to the O’Hare Transfer stop. It stops in O’Hare Airport Parking Lot F.

From Midway: Take the Orange Line (the “L”) from Midway Airport to the Quincy/ Wells stop in Chicago. Walk ½ block to Adams St. and continue walking 4 blocks on Adams to Union Station. At Union Station, take the Metra Milwaukee North Line to Northbrook. At the Northbrook Station, take a short taxi ride to Techny Towers, about 2 miles.

To Midway: Take a taxi from Techny Towers to the Northbrook Metra Station, about 2 miles. Take the Metra Milwaukee North Line to Chicago Union Station. Exit Union Station and walk ½ block to Jackson and continue walking EAST 4 blocks on Jackson to the Quincy/Wells CTA “L” station. Here the Orange Line “L” will take you to Midway Airport.

To/ From Chicago: At Union Station, take the Metra Milwaukee North Line to Northbrook. At Northbrook, take a taxi about 2 miles to Techny Towers.

Metra: Metra is a commuter rail line in Northeast . When purchasing Metra tickets, a one-way CASH fare can be purchased on the train from the conductor or, if available, at the station’s Ticket Agent Box. Northbrook Metra Station: 1401 Shermer Avenue, Northbrook, IL Phone: 847-272-0228.

CTA: CTA stands for “Chicago Transit Authority,” Chicago’s public transportation. It includes Chicago’s “L” trains and Chicago buses.
