NOTES / UNDERTAKING / INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDER (A) NOTES 1. Details of the items under the Schedule of Items shall be read in conjunction with the corresponding Technical Specifications, Drawings, Special Conditions of Contract and other Tender Documents. 2. The Schedule of Items is divided into 7 Packages i.e. Package - I to Packages - VII. 3. It is to be noted that DSR 2014 Code No. is indicated for DSR items SCHEDULE – A of Package-I. The description of item as well as unit given for DSR items, shall also be read in conjunction with description and unit of respective item corresponding to DSR 2014 code no. specified in ‘DSR 2014 (DELHI SCHEDULE OF RATES 2014)’ for any discrepancy 4. It is to be noted that DSR (Electrical) 2012 Code No. is indicated for DSR items in SCHEDULE – A of Package-V & SCHEDULE – A of Package-VI. The description of item as well as unit given for DSR items, shall also be read in conjunction with description and unit of respective item corresponding to DSR(Electrical) 2012 code no. specified in ‘DSR(Electrical) 2012 (DELHI SCHEDULE OF RATES (Electrical) 2012 for any discrepancy. 5. The item rate of schedule items should be re-checked by the bidder from DSR-2014 as the rate specified in DSR-2014-16% will be treated final in case of any discrepancy for Package-I & DSR-2012 as the rate specified in DSR-2012 at par will be treated final in case of any discrepancy for Package-V Package-VI. 6. The work shall be carried out as per drawings released for construction, fabrication and other working drawings prepared by the Bidder / Contractor and approved by the Engineer-in-charge, Technical Specifications and the description of the items in this Schedule of Items and the instructions of the Engineer-in-charge. 7. Detail of work provided in the Schedule of items but not covered in the Technical Specifications/Drawings shall be executed strictly as per the instructions of the Engineer-in-charge. 8. Unless specifically mentioned otherwise, in the bid document, the rate for all items of the Schedule of Items shall include complete cost of all labour, material except noted otherwise, equipment, erection and dismantling of necessary scaffolding, levies, taxes, duties, all transportation, handling, storage, wastage, repairs, rectification, maintenance until handing over, revenue expenses, contingencies, overheads, profits, all incidental items not specifically mentioned but reasonably implied for and necessary to complete the work according to the Contract. The rates shall also be inclusive of any Seigniorage Fee or Royalties or cess or other charges payable on the quarried or mined metal, minerals or minor minerals, as the case may be. 9. Series & Make of all sanitary fittings & accessories shall be same as per Drawings & Instructions of the Engineer-In-Charge. 10. Any item mentioned in the Schedule of items may or may not be executed and no claim by the contractor shall be entertained on this account. PAKRI BARWADIH COAL MINING PROJECTS SCHEDULE OF ITEMS FOR CONSTRUCTION OF ADMINISTRATIVE BUILDING AT SIKRI FOR PB, CB & KD CMP OF NTPC Ltd. 11. The contractor has to take Consent/ permission from Engineer-in-charge for Execution of items. 12. NTPC and their consultant may depute their representative for checking and supervision of important stages of work. The contractor shall be required to provide all facilities for inspection of works at no extra cost to NTPC. Any defect in quality of work or deviation from drawings/ specifications pointed out during such inspection shall be rectified by the contractor without any cost implication to NTPC. 13. Contractor shall have total responsibility for all equipment and materials in his custody stores, loose, semi assembled and/or erected by him at site. The contractor shall make suitable security arrangements including employment of security personnel to ensure the protection of all the materials, Equipment and works from theft, fire, pilferage and any other damages and loss. 14. Contractor shall preferably employ local people/ cooperative societies/ prospective project affected people of NTPC coal Mining Project. 15. The Contractor shall be liable to make payment to all the employees and make compliance with labour laws. If the OWNER, is held liable as 'PRINCIPAL EMPLOYER' to pay contribution etc. under ESI Act or any other legislation of Government or Court decision, in respect of the employees of the Contractor, then the latter would reimburse, the amounts of such contributions so paid by Owner. 16. The Contractor shall attend at his cost, all the meetings with the Engineer-in-Charge, other Contractors and the Consultants of the Owner for the Contract. The Contractor shall attend such meetings as and when required and fully cooperate with such persons and agencies involved. B) INSTRUCTIONS 1. Discount (in %) or Premium (in %) over the above total value of items in each package and each schedule for mentioned packages in BOQ (Excel sheet provided in NIT) separately. 2. Bidder is requested to quote only the percentage as premium or discount. No deviation on account of this shall be accepted. (C) UNDERTAKING BY THE BIDDER 1. It is noted and agreed that the decision of the Engineer-in-charge shall be final and binding regarding clarification of items in this Schedule of Items, with respect to other sections of the Contract. It is noted and agreed that all materials, whatsoever are required, for incorporation into various items of the Schedule of Items shall be arranged by us within the unit rates. Further we confirm that the work shall be executed strictly adhering to the description of the DSR and Non-DSR items, specifications/drawings. We also confirm that no extra payment whatsoever shall be claimed by us for arranging the materials anywhere in the country on account of non-availability /scarcity of construction materials locally 3. It is noted and agreed that the rates quoted shall include the cost of all works/activities as specified in Technical Specifications. 4. It is noted and agreed that the variation in quantities, extent and pricing shall be as per relevant clauses of Conditions of Contract. 5. It is confirmed that before submitting the bid we have visited site, assessed and satisfied regarding the availability of materials as per requirement of relevant item of SOQ. 6.. It is noted and agreed that to meet the project requirement, Concrete Batching Plant of required capacity shall be installed by us and all necessary permissions required for the same shall also be taken by us without any cost implication to NTPC. Our quoted rate for the respective item shall be inclusive of all. (D) LEGEND In this Schedule of Items, following shall apply:- 1. M or m shall mean Meter. 2. Mm shall mean Millimeter. 3.
