NAME KEREN ROSE SEDDON COMPANY TOWNLAND CONSULTANTS LTD CURRENT POSITION CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER YEAR OF BIRTH 1951 NATIONALITY BRITISH KEY EXPERIENCE Ms Seddon is uniquely qualified in that she has had extensive planning experience in multi-disciplinary projects for both the Public and Private Sectors for 37 years. She has worked for Government in Hong Kong (HK) and the United Kingdom, and has detailed knowledge of planning procedures, standards and methodologies in both jurisdictions. In HK she has performed a variety of duties for the Territory Development Department of the HK Government including the preparation of Planning Briefs for major housing developments and as Secretary of the Steering Group of the Junk Bay East Coast Study covering controlled tip, after use, access, industry, typhoon shelter, village development, recreational pursuits and countryside protection. As Chief Executive Officer of TOWNLAND, which she established in 1985 and which is the largest Planning and Design Consultancy in HK, she oversees a large number of award winning land use planning studies, master planning projects, urban design, site planning, detail regulatory planning, concept architecture and landscape design projects. TOWNLAND also has the longest track record in HK in focussed Development Consultancy work (over 30 years). Ms Seddon, having developed for her profession in HK a significant role in Private Sector Development Consultancy, has been responsible for a long list of Planning Applications, Reviews, Appeals, Objections to Statutory Plans, Rezoning Requests and Lands Submissions, and has acted as Expert Witness in Judicial Reviews, S17B Appeals, Compulsory Sales Proceedings and Buildings and Liquor License matters. Ms Seddon established TOWNLAND‟s Jakarta Office in 1996; PT TOWNLAND International was incorporated in 1999 to lead TOWNLAND‟s Indonesia business; she established TOWNLAND‟s Shenzhen Office and TOWNLAND Consultants (Shenzhen) was incorporated in 2002 to serve TOWNLAND‟s expanding Client needs in Mainland China; she established TOWNLAND Consultants Pvt. Ltd. in India in 2008; and TOWNLAND Consultants (Chengdu) Ltd (Mainland China) in 2011. TOWNLAND was awarded a National “Foreign-Invested Enterprise Urban Planning Service Qualification Certificate” in Mainland China in 2011. Ms Seddon‟s particular specialisations include strategy formulation, options evaluation, site selection, development potential and implementation aspects. In addition she has provided planning support in buildings and lands matters, such as Buildings Appeal Tribunals, Exchanges, Modifications and interpretation of Lease Conditions. As Quality Director in TOWNLAND, Ms Seddon has a major role to play in maintaining quality standards in all of the various Divisions in the TOWNLAND Group of Companies. In addition to providing overall strategic direction for the Group of Companies, Ms Seddon has particular responsibility as Quality Director for quality management of all professional output.
