The blue table accused the red table of taking more than its fair share and demanded that Eddy and Betty redistribute the turkey from those who got more to those who got less. Then the red table accused the blue table of conspiring before the party via private emails to bring smaller dishes to the potluck, which is why there wasn’t enough food to go around, even though there was actually way too much food and not a single person could finish what was on their plate. It seemed everyone liked to argue more than they liked to eat, which Eddy found really strange, because all he liked to do was eat and sleep and chase Betty around. The boys Husky Running team placed a strong second place in the league as well. Both of these standings qualified the teams for the CIF Prelims in Riverside on Friday last week. At the Prelims, the Husky girls moved into the CIF Finals also at Riverside. Leading the girls team is freshman Jordyn Harper, who won every DML race by an astonishing 1:27. She then ran to an eighth place position on Friday at the Prelims. The top ten individual places move on to the Finals, had the team not qualified. “I have had so much fun being a part of the MHS Cross Country Team,” said Harper. “I couldn’t have made it this far without all of the training, coaching and advice I have received from Tomas MHS Husky Cross Country girls showing off some muscle after racing in the CIF Prelims SS Division 5 and qualifying for next Rodriquez, Nancy Fiddler, Laura week’s CIF Finals. Now we are 24 strong and have earned back- to-back girls DML Champions and boys runner-up to the number one ranked team in the state. Our girls qualifying for the CIF Finals is the cherry on top of a fantastic season.” Good luck to the Husky girls at the CIF Finals. From there they can qualify for the State Finals in Fresno.
