The Green Flag judging took place earlier this summer ~ but as it was a “mystery shopper” we don’t know exactly when! The It’s Your Neighbour- hood judge Rob Harkness, toured both our parks on 2nd July. Things seamed to go well so fingers crossed for yet another Outstanding! The in Bloom judging was on Wednesday 9th July and as part of the Paignton entry Young’s Park was viewed at the end of the tour. Results are not announced until September, so we have a while to wait.

The judging of Palace Avenue for the “It’s Your Neighbourhood” entry, in the South West in Bloom Competition took place on Wednesday 2nd July. Your Chair Christine Carter was on hand to show Mr Rob Harkness (R.H.S. Judge) our beautiful town centre oasis.

The flower beds looked particularly good this year. Many thanks go to TOR2 for the extra effort made in making this lovely park even more spectacular! Last year we achieved the highest award available - level 5 Outstanding!

So fingers crossed that we have managed to maintain this very high standard.
