New sections this year contained questions specifically aimed at pilots using flight simulator software on mobile devices and helicopter flight simulators. We also added questions on combat simulators, air traffic control and flight planning. Finally, because of the upcoming release of the new Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020, we added questions on this topic as well. Our main objective this year was to recruit more and diverse partners to broaden the reach of the survey to get an even more representative sample of the community.
