The IBC concept
Intermediate Bulk Container (IBC) is the latest development in the field of bulk liquid packaging.
It is a 1000 Litre packaging size, extremely light and has a space saving design. While saving storage space cost, being a large packaging unit, it also cuts down the handling cost, storage cost, filling cost and transportation cost. Specially built for multi-trip capabilities, it reduces cost on every trip. The modular design with high quality components allows easy replacement of worn out parts.
TC 1000 – the latest design
Our principals Mauser of Germany have experienced tremendous success with the same IBC model TC 1000 in European and American market. It is modular in design with high quality components, but extremely light weight and economical.
It consists of a blow moulded inner container made of UV stabilized polyethylene and is mounted on a pallet and encased in a sturdy tubular cage. The cage is screw fitted on to the pallet and is provided with an identification plate for labeling. It has a 150 mm (6”) filling opening and 50 mm (2”) discharge opening. The filling opening is closed with matching lid with venting provision and the discharge opening is fitted with high quality discharge valve.
TC 1000 – Made in India
The TC 1000 is now being Made in India at our sophisticated plant at Daman. A state-of-the-art imported plant, sophisticated machinery, automated assembly line and stringent quality norms ensure the availability of the international standard TC 1000 at your doorstep.
In fact, we are importing the critical components such as plastic pallet, discharge valve, lid components etc. The inner container is manufactured here at our plant and is assembled with the other components to make the TC 1000.

Salient features and benefits of TC 1000
(i) Intermediate Bulk Containers (IBCs) being a large packaging unit, it offers lower costs of filling, storage, handling and transportation.

- Full LP truck load, 9 filled IBCs on the floor of a standard LP truck ( 9 tons), & 18 filled IBCs in 20’ shipping container (18 tons)
- 18 empty IBCs in a regular truck (full truck load)
(v) Provided with pilfer evident locking system
- The IBCs are also provided with features of pilfer evident locking.
The top 150 mm (6”) filling opening is closed with a screw cap and on tightening the same, could be lead wired / strapped to the nearby sealing notch on either sides of the lid. The in built 70 mm opening is further closed with matching bung and the same is sealed with pilfer evident plastic seal cap.
The bottom discharge valve is fitted to the inner container and is secured with a discharge valve security lock. The discharge valve is also locked at the handle. The discharge screw cap has a PP ring for pilfer evidence and on unlocking, the PP ring breaks
(vi) IBCs can be easily handled with a help of forklift or hand pallet trolley. The 4 way pallet allows quick access from any side.
Uniquely designed, cost effective electrohydraulic stacker is also available. It could also be used for loading / unloading purpose.
(vii) TC 1000 could also be provided with IBC collect service, which will facilitate easy disposal of our used empty IBCs in Europe.

(viii) IBC can be used in leiu of road tankers as it is cost effective and operationally advantageous
Multitrip capability, no risk of product contamination, clean rust free filling medium, easy to clean and rinse, specially designed for optimal drainability, handy storage unit at site and flexibility of volume. The Multitrip capability and flexibility brings in savings.
Applications
IBC market has grown in size due to the numerous features and advantages enumerated above.
Its ready acceptance for bulk packaging of products being exported is very obvious. Its standard dimensions and international popularity makes it a right choice as an export packaging.
It is an economical container system. In the domestic market, it is a easy replacement to road tankers and metal drums due to its multi trip capabilities. We have worked out model calculations to show the savings in cost vis-à-vis Road Tankers / Metal drums.
It is used to pack and carry various types of products including lubricating oils, additives for lubricants, organic and inorganic chemicals, plasticizers, paint intermediates, emulsions, castor oil, detergents and detergent intermediates and many other products.
