I. About Us

The company  VIP Belgium

Founded in 2008, VIP BELGIUM has been a key player in the Belgian and international events scene. It organizes events including private parties, galas, company and charity events.

Since the last eight years, VIP BELGIUM has also been renowned for its outstanding events held during the International Film Festival in Cannes at the most exclusive locations such as private Yachts and Villas, Majestic Hotel, Grand Hyatt Cannes Hotel Martinez, the Palm Beach,… Each time, a unique concept not only brings together the Belgian and the French, but also the international audience of the Cannes Film Festival.

The Foundation  Wheeling Around the World

Nowadays, 20% of the population faces disability, forming the largest minority in the world. Because we are living in a globalized world where moving from one place to another is a real need, and because there is a lack of accessible transportation, services, venues, etc., we must mobilize.

Officially launched in 2013, the Wheeling Around the World (WAW) Foundation intends to be the privileged spokesperson of Persons with Reduced Mobility regarding their movements from traveling, getting access to the oceans and seas, to moving with one’s family, experiencing a cultural immersion...The point is to change mentalities, to keep working in order to raise a genuine awareness with tourism companies and institutions about the importance to ensure that public places, transports and housing are accessible to as many people as possible.

Support of different projects and awareness campaign…one of the Foundation mission is raising public awareness about mobility issues, lobbying, convince people to travel more and to show that “nothing is impossible to the one who walks within their head…”

Alexandre Bodart Pinto

Alexandre Bodart Pinto has been paraplegic since the age of 16, following a serious motorcycle accident.

After a long reeducation, this determined young man from Brussels decided to study marketing and was aware that his condition would not prevent him from living a full life and realize his dreams.

At the age of 19, he launched his first events company. Two years after that, he opened his own nightclub in Brussels.

Alexandre Bodart Pinto sold his company in 2008 in order to create VIP BELGIUM. A couple of years later, he has managed to make a name in the events industry. He built up his reputation, in particular, by holding prestigious events during the Film Festival in Cannes every year.

His activities enabled him to meet a considerable amount of noted professionals, high society members, jet setters and other international personalities like Bruce Willis, Penelope Cruz, His Serene Highness Prince Albert of Monaco, Eva Longoria, the Jackson family, Ivana Trump, Jean- Claude Van Damme, Cuba Gooding JR, etc.

A thrill seeker, an active learner, Alexandre Bodart Pinto has travelled to many countries in the world. Traveling has been long his passion. Concerned directly by the mobility issues, he understands very well the challenges that people in the same situation have to face. This is the reason why Alexandre Bodart Pinto created the Wheeling Around the World Foundation in 2013 with the attempt to raise public awareness of the issue, to make a change and to make the world more accessible for everybody.

Today, at 33 years old, the young entrepreneur has never been so active, always seeks new ventures and challenges for himself.

II. Cine-Arts Galas

The Concept

After the success and media response to its former events, VIP BELGIUM introduced Cine-Arts, an unrivalled Gala dinner, during the Cannes Film Festival.

Bearing in mind that if the 7th art is highlighted during these ten special days, it is undoubtedly linked with the 6 others.

Sculpture, painting, music, dancing, literature, architecture complemented with performing arts, photography and fashion are represented in all their glory during this prestigious night.

All your senses will be awakened by wonderful works of art and performances, fruit of the work from renowned artists in their fields.

Cine-Arts Gala 2016

Coming back this year in Cannes, Cine-Arts is happy to cooperate with Philippe Streiff in organizing a charity event for the benefit of WAW Foundation.

Philippe Streiff, Founder of Masters Karting Paris Bercy competition, is a former Formula 1 driver from France. He participated in 55 Formula One Grand Prix, debuting on October 21, 1984. He achieved one podium, and scored a total of 11 championship points. Left quadriplegic after a dramatic accident during the 1989 Brazilian Grand Prix practice, he, however, has never stopped following his love and passion for cars and life.

His achievements come not only from the motor sport industry, but also from road safety improvements as Technical Adviser to the Inter Ministerial Representative for Road Safety in France. Deeply affected by the disability issue, Philippe Streiff today is also a spokesman for people who face physical problems and uses his experience to help improving their living standards and integration into everyday life.  Gala program

Friday May 20th 2016

The Gala Dinner will take place on Friday May 20th 2016, in one of the rarest palaces of Cannes, the Majestic Barrière Hotel.

Elegance, luxury and excellence are only a few words capable of describing this hotel of the French Riviera. It has an unique classical style setting, prestigious atmosphere, with big columns and gold plated decorations.

You will be welcomed in the Salon Diane where the official dinner of the jury members of the Festival was held. Located right across from the Palais des Festivals and the world most famous red carpet, the hotel offers you a splendid view of the sea and the Côte d’Azur.

A fine dinner of 4 courses menu, welcoming cocktail and champagne will add the finishing touch to this refined setting.

Throughout the evening, you will get the chance to discover the work of renowned artists, excelling in their own fields.

 Auction

During the event, an auction orchestrated by Pierre Cornette de Saint - Cyr, one of the most famous French auctioneers, President benevolent of the Palais de Tokyo in Paris, will take place to benefit the WAW Foundation.

Those who wish to support the Foundation can participate in the auction to bid for one of the works of art, as well as luxury items exhibited at the Gala.
