Covid-19 Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP)

Cases pertaining to the Covid-19 positives in ITBP till 6/5/2020 are as follows:-

Sl. No. Total positive Location/ Spots from where Management cases suspected to have got infected 1 43 ITBP Battalion, Tigri, New Delhi 2 admitted to Safdarjung (The Unit is deployed for IS duties Hospital, New Delhi. 41 in New Delhi) admitted to the CAPF Referral Hospital, Greater Noida. 94 personnel are in quarantine at ITBP Chhawla Facility, New Delhi. 2 2 Stationed at Rohini, New Delhi 2 admitted to AIIMS, Jhajjar, with the ITBP Company deployed Haryana. Contact tracing done. for Law and Order Duty with Entire Company of rest 91 Delhi Police. personnel is in quarantine at ITBP Chhawla Facility. Sampling has been done. Reports of these 91 personnel are awaited. Total 45 Till now, 45 personnel have been tested Covid-19 positive.

CAPF Referral Hospital, Greater Noida:- ITBP has started treating the Corona positive personnel at 200 bedded CAPF Referral Hospital based in Greater Noida. This Hospital is now dedicated to corona patients only. Personnel from all Central Armed Police Forces have also been admitted in this Hospital. Currently, 54 personnel have been admitted from the ITBP and BSF (44* from ITBP and 10 from BSF) at the CAPF Referral Hospital, Greater Noida.

(*Out of 44 personnel, 41 are tested positive, while 3 are symptomatic whose test reports are awaited)

Excellent team of specialist doctors is treating our jawans 24×7 as per medical protocol. They are well equipped with the PPEs and other required equipment. Contact tracing is in progress and all jawans coming into contact of affected personnel are being put into the quarantine facilities.
