Southeastern Europe (Balkans)
Southeastern Europe (Balkans) Albania Christmas (Krishtlindjet) on 25 December is a public holiday in Albania, a nation with significant Muslim and Christian populations, and is celebrated by both Orthodox and CatholicAlbanians. However, even some non-Christian Albanians celebrate them. The Albanian wish is "Gëzuar Krishtlindjet!". People go to church at midnight on 24 December, or during 25 December. The Christmas atmosphere is felt not only in the capital city, Tirana, but also in many other cities, for example in: Korça, Shkodra, Lezha, Durrës, Berat etc. The rituals and traditions are very similar to those practiced by the other European Christian nations. Romania and Moldova Main article: Christmas in Romania Christmas (Romanian: Crăciun) in Romania falls on December 25 and is generally considered the second most important religious Romanian holiday after Easter. In Moldova, although Christmas is celebrated on 25 December like in Romania, 7 January is also recognized as an official holiday in Moldova. Celebrations begin with the decoration of the Christmas tree during daytime on 24 December, and in the evening (Christmas Eve, in Romanian: Ajunul Crăciunului) Moş Crăciun (Father Christmas) delivers the presents. The singing of carols is a very important part of Romanian Christmas festivities. On the first day of Christmas, many carolers walk through the streets of the towns and villages, holding a star made of cardboard and paper on which are depicted various scenes from the Bible. Romanian tradition has the smallest children going from house to house, singing carols and reciting poems and legends during the whole Christmas season. The leader of the group carries with him a star made of wood, covered with metal foil and decorated with bells and coloured ribbons. -
The Gift of Marriage for Christmas, a Home with the Presence of Jesus Desert Light Christian Church, December 29, 2019 This Week
The Gift of Marriage for Christmas, A Home with the Presence of Jesus Desert Light Christian Church, December 29, 2019 ’ ’ This week we ll look at scriptures in the gospel of Matthew, next week at Luke s gospel. God chose two people in transition from singleness to married life as the ones who would would cooperate with Him in His “ ” plan to invade this planet with His physical presence. Before Jesus, God had shown up in supernatural theoph’anies like His walks with Adam and Eve in the Garden (Genesis 3’:8), or the visitors to Abraham (Gen’esis 18:1), Moses and the burning bush (Exodus 3:1-6), Samson s parents (Judges 13:1-32), or the great visitation upon Solomon s temple where the priests couldn t stand up to minister (1 Chronicles 5:14). Christmas means“tBhuattwinhsetenatdhoeffaulmlnyesstiscoafl, tmimigehhtya, dobcovimoues, lGyoodthserntwfoorrltdhlyhis Ssuopne, rbnoartnuroaflwthoemopahna…ny” God would enter our existence as one of us, a baby. As Galatians 4:4 stated, At the right time, Go“d the Holy Spirit entered”the womb of a yo“ung girl, and c”reated a special, one and o’nly, or only begotten embryo to grow in her belly. This event called by some as the immaculate conceptio’n resulting in the V“irgin’ Birth, is a necessary part o”f God s plan to save people from sin. Evaluation of the Tourist Potential Attractiveness in the Area of the Subcarpathians In-Between Ialomiţa and Prahova River 1. I
The Annals of Valahia University of Târgovişte, Geographical Series, Tome 11 / 2011 __________________________________________________________________________________________________ EVALUATION OF THE TOURIST POTENTIAL ATTRACTIVENESS IN THE AREA OF THE SUBCARPATHIANS IN-BETWEEN IALOMIŢA AND PRAHOVA RIVER Mariana MIHĂESCU1 1C-tin. Brâncoveanu College, Târgovişte Abstract: The evaluation of the tourist potential from a certain region represents a difficult problem taking into account both the complexity of the tourist sites that make it up and the subjectivity of the way of choosing the research methods. It can be noticed that the region taken into consideration has a large variety of tourist resources. This variety is determined both by the features of the geosites, and by the socioeconomic conditions, which have had an impact on the evolution of the human settlements. Our evaluation of the tourist potential attractiveness brings to light the fact that only four towns have a very high attractiveness index (over 45 points), namely Târgovişte, Breaza, Pucioasa and Câmpina. The other three towns of this area (Comarnic, Fieni and Moreni) along with five rural localities (Moroeni, Cornu, Băneşti, Pietroşiţa and Răzvad) have an average tourist attractiveness (30-45 points). In the category of the administrative–territorial units with a low attractiveness (under 15 points) there are only five rural localities (Valea Lungă, Vârfuri, Vişineşti, Adunaţi and Proviţa de Jos). All of the other rural localities, namely a number of twenty, have an average tourist attractiveness index (15-30 points). The region of the Subcarpathians in-between Ialomiţa and Prahova River has a rich tourist potential that should be valorized by its inhabitants, whose activity could be oriented towards tourism. -

Water Resources and Their Quality in Upper Ialomita River Basin
PRESENT ENVIRONMENT AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT, NR. 3, 2009 WATER RESOURCES AND THEIR QUALITY IN UPPER IALOMITA RIVER BASIN Ovidiu Murărescu1, Gica Pehoiu¹ Keywords: hydrostructure, water resources, quality, pollution sources. Abstract. Fitting Ialomiţa upper river basin began in the interwar period of the last century and was intensified after the flood that took place in the 70s during the same century. In this context, we can speak of an anthropized river system for 72 km of the river (from springs - altitude over 2400 meters, to the contact with the High Plain of Targoviste). Some water resources and reserves were reduced, making the degree of satisfaction to be between 50-75%. The karst hydrostructures from the mountainous area could meet the water needs of downstream consumers (subcarpathian area), but they are insufficiently controlled and estimated, both quantitatively and qualitatively. Totaled, the two resources - surface water and groundwater - reach a volume of water of 1.104 billion cubic meters / year (of which 824 million cubic meters / year is surface resource). Geographic setting The basin area of upper Ialomiţa is 686 km2, which represents 6.62% of the total basin area of 10,350 km2. Ialomita River, originating in the Bucegi Mountains, at over 2300 m, crosses the mountainous and hilly area up to Targoviste, covering 71 km (17.03% of the total length of 417 km), going down a slope of approx. 2010 m. It presents a coefficient of sinuosity of 1.88 on its entire course, with values slightly lower in the mountainous and hilly areas (between 1- 1.50). The density of the hydrographic network is between 0.100-0.260 km/km2. -

COLEGIUL COLEGIUL TEHNIC TEHNIC INFOEL INFOEL BISTRITA BISTRITA TATU THROUGH ACTING TO UNDERSTANDING TATU is the acronym of a Comenius multilateral partnership project entitled ”Trough Acting to Understanding”- teaching English through drama, which involves students from the IX th and Xth grades from “Infoel” Technical College in Bistrita. This Project started from the premises that role playing is a type of activity that allows communication and interaction on stage and not only, the final product being the representation of a play, written by the students themselves, which should reflect all the information acquired over the two years of the project(2010-2012) about the partner countries. The project involves 70 students and 12 teachers who will exchange views, will cooperate in the planning and the carrying out of various steps and will share their experiences in the working groups during the mobility but also on the platform of the program “Comenius-TATU”. The international involvement in this project requires also editing a brief newsletter, dedicated to the students, reflected by a short stopover in each country involved, so that we could find all the details, curiosities, legends, traditions, etc. Germany Portugal France Turkey The Czech Republic Romania Christmas represents for everyone the opportunity to spend more time in an intimate setting with your beloved ones, the closest friends and family. We tried to reproduce what represents the best celebrations of Christmas in The Czech Republic. The attitude of the students from 10 G involved in this project was great. They brought a lot of information about Christmas in this country. -

Title of the Paper
ANNALS of the ORADEA UNIVERSITY. Fascicle of Management and Technological Engineering, Volume XI (XXI), 2012, NR2 MODELING THE TRAVEL DEMAND IN A COUNTY ROAD PUBLIC TRANSPORT SYSTEM. Ilie Sorin1, Mitran Gabriela1 1 University of Pitesti [email protected] Keywords: transport model, road public transport system, travel supply, travel demand. Abstract: Increasing the attractiveness of a transport system requires the knowing of current situation of the interaction between the supply and the demand. This paper aims to estimate the level of transport demand associated with public transport by regular services in a county transport system. To highlight the interaction between transport supply and demand, a transport model was realized using specialized software, modeling the user choices concerning: the decision of making or not the travel for some reason or purpose, the travel destination, the transport mode used and the route traveled in a time reference period. 1. INTRODUCTION Intense using of private transport is a problem in the current passenger transport. The motorized private traffic across Europe has increased despite continued and even dramatic rises price of the fuel in recent years. This modal relocation is the result of major social and economic changes that have occurred in recent years, with influences on the lifestyle. Countering this trend to the use of individual transport imply in addition to campaigns on energy efficiency and environmental protection, promotion of alternative transport modes, namely public transport, particularly by increasing the attractiveness of this transport modes. The attractiveness of public transport is characterized by several parameters, including duration of access to the public transport station, time scheduling of routes, in vehicle travel time, transfers number needed to travel between an origin to a destination pair, comfort, commodity and safety of transport.
