Fact Sheet – Arts Interventions at the 2016 Republican National Convention

In July 2016, Cuyahoga Arts & Culture (CAC) Arts Interventions will provide a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to showcase our local arts and culture in unique and unexpected venues that will be frequented by residents, visitors, delegates and their families during the Republican National Convention in , Ohio.

When: July 15-22, 2016

What: Pop-up performances that highlight the exciting cultural fabric that exists throughout Cleveland and Northeast Ohio.

Where: Public outdoor spaces in the heart of and at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport.

Who: Cuyahoga Arts & Culture cultural partners (grantees) may apply to perform.

In partnership with Downtown Cleveland Alliance and the nonpartisan Cleveland 2016 Host Committee, CAC will provide modest stipends for 1-hour, public performances at various downtown Cleveland locations and at the Cleveland Hopkins International Airport.

Downtown Cleveland – July 17-21 from 5:30 to 7:30 PM*

*On Sunday, July 17, events will only take place at North Coast Harbor from 5 to 7 PM.

Cleveland Hopkins International Airport – July 15-17 & 22 from 8 am – 8 pm

How to Participate Current cultural partners (recipients of CAC funding in 2016) may complete a simple online form by June 20, 2016 if they are interested in participating. Slots will be filled on a rolling basis and selected organizations will be notified by July 1, 2016.
