Knowledge of Life by Nuzhath M Syed

The Knowledge of the world around, the knowledge of self, the knowledge of interaction of the self with the world is the basic division of knowledge. All this comprises of the knowledge of life. I would love to minimize my explanation of the knowledge and intellectual understanding of it and initiate into the process of finding this knowledge called Life. Life of Human, is it just from the day we were born to the day we die, is it just the family and society the human lives in this world, the mysteries and chemistries of the world, the nature around it and the coexistence with it or Life of Human, is the question of where it came from, where I am travelling towards, what is beyond death, who created me, why was I created. Life is a beautiful abstract created or evolved as you want to call it based on your beliefs. Or if you are a seeker know from Life itself. Like I always try to know from life itself. How do we reach to this knowledge. Finding and observing life. Life in me is proved by the breathe that came inside me and stays until I die. The knowledge of my life is hidden in that breathing method. The mind, Intellect, the soul, Intelligence and the body, physical being has so much knowledge hidden inside it. There are different methods to know yourself logicians would want to cut open and see the working of it, seekers just go inside through contemplation and believers turn towards god for answers.Human is all in one logician, seeker and believer. Scientists, Artists and Saintly people reach out to their complete potential to reach to this knowledge. A scientist is definitely a seeker and a believer, an artist is definitely a logician and a believer and a saint is definitely a seeker and a logician. So every human is a polymath in his complete potential. I would love to share a story as through stories I have learnt to express my knowledge of everything. I was sitting in my balcony one day and was observing around when I saw the pot in my green garden giving a glow of yellow. I was so happy to observe the plant I was watering for last one week has given a bud of flower. I just admired it's beauty and could see the thorns around it giving the flower a path to grow. I just sat there and philosophized the happening. I was keen to see what this plant was going to teach me in next few days. I was observant every day. Two days passed and the flower had fully grown and was spreading it's fragrance around. I was also one of its benefactors. Two more days passed and it slowly started withering. I was sad for its passing away. I could see how the flower has grown and done its job and was slowly dying. Next day morning when I woke up I saw another bud blooming and I was happy again for that bud has arrived but there was also a tinge of pain for the old flowers falling down. It fell into the mud and started drying. I was happy for the new flower and momentarily the old flowers passing away gave me a slight worry. But when it fell and started drying in the mud it came from I could visualize its purpose fulfilled. If the garden would have been public there would have been multiple people learning from it. Then in few days the other flowered withered too and in its place few new leaves started merging with a hope that there will be more flowers.

As a philosopher, artist or storyteller I was able to see one kind of knowledge emerging out of a life. Similarly if other kind of observers see the same life they would come up with their versions of knowledge, botany in it, morphology, aromachology, and what not. I admire the way life teaches different people differently so everything we learn is a part of life's teachings. Experiences, Circumstances, Choices, Decisions, Social Responsibility, Birth and Death, War and Peace, Evil and Good, Sadness and Joy, Greed and Satisfaction etc. The Life has made me one kind and I would become what my heart likes, what god likes, what my moral being accepts. What are you? How are you dealing with your life and it's challenges, how is life treating you, what has it taught you, why not learn life from teachers and guides who know it better than you. Life is one book which has all knowledge. To know it let us learn from different teachers and give our life our own meaning which will fulfill our purpose of existence. And while doing all this one thing that I remind you from my life's teachings, "Never hurt a heart, that is where love resides and love is god, love is discoverable truth, love is infinite art."

"Ishq hai dil ki dhadkan wo zindagi hai, wo lamhdud fan wahi haq wo bandagi hai."

Bitcoin By Moqtar Ali Bitcoin has been the trending topic in the financial market. The value of the Bitcoin has been increasing day by day, Japanese claim that this is legal currency and where as other countries believe it is as a Fraud business. Before analysing, let me enlighten you with the topic. Bitcoin is a virtual currency or cryptocurrency that works on a peer-to-peer basis which was invented in 2009 by SATOSHI NAKAMOTOand the identity is anonymous till date. There are many other coins invented after bitcoin like Litecoin, Peercoin, Feather coin and Ethereumetc .These are called as Altcoins or Alternative coins. Bitcoins has no central authority controlling it. Like currency notes, it can be sent from one person to another in the form of transaction and allows to save money in the Bitcoin Wallet. But the whole process continues without the permission of central bank or the government. This system completely depends on cryptography to control the creation of the currency. While no authority controls the generation of the coins or tracks them, the system itself is designed in such a way that the network maintains a complete data of transaction history of each user record of every transaction as well as tracking issuance of the currency. Bitcoin actually works on blockchain. Blockchain is a ledger ,which stores all the transactions of bitcoin. In the blockchain, a copy of the ledger file is shared between thousands of participants globally, also called miners. Even you can become a miner by simply downloading the open source bitcoin software. New bitcoin transactions are added in the blockchain by a consensus of a majority of the miners. People do mining because they receive new created bitcoins in return for their efforts. Once a transaction is entered in the blockchain, it can never be erased or modified. Many large companies are accepting bitcoins as a legitimate source of funds. They allow their online products to be bought with bitcoins. With the extreme facilitation of transfer and earning of bitcoins, it would be a mistake not to accept these new-found online coins as cash. With a fluctuating value, the funds can either help or hurt the company. Companies like Wikipedia , Microsoft ,Wordpress.com and many more are accepting this digital currency as a payment. Recently, bitcoin future began trading on 10th of Dec as the increasingly popular virtual currency made its debut on a major US exchange.Another large futures exchange, the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, will start trading its own futures on 18 December but will use a composite of several bitcoin prices across a handful of exchanges. A debate is raging on the merits of such currencies. Some say they serve merely to facilitate money laundering and illicit, anonymous payments. Others say they can be helpful methods of payment, such as in crisis situations where national currencies have collapsed.

I want to be a sky… - Poetry --Written by Sai Padma

I want to reach sky… I Want to meet sky… I Want to meet sky… It seems so close meeting its lover ocean Yet so far for me to reach… Mingle with rest of the stars Mingle with rest of the stars With different hues so same as my Some sparkle, some don’t Some sparkle, some don’t moods Hide some, reveal some Hide some, reveal some Can’t it bend for me? Reckless of their identity Reckless of their identity Sure can, if I say so … Consuming my entity… Consuming my entity…

I Want to touch sky… I Want to feel sky… I want to be sky… With so much music inside it to come down and caress Is it velvety like a star studded saree? Wish to explore it who wish to reach me Caress of a mother…? With bare hands from wheelchairs, walkers… Warmness of a dear one…? And love that is so rare now-a- helpless…despondent Melancholy of a heart…? days for the seen and heard sky Softness of a compassionate hand…? like a rainbow occasional for a caress and a real care !!

MOBILE HEALTH CAMP KISES India, a small NGO run by a husband and wife team from Vijayawada, has launched a mobile school programme aimed at preventing the misery of child labor for young rag-pickers in the dumps and slums of the city. THE choking fumes from burning rubbish fill the lungs of tiny children 24 hours a day in the most inhospitable working environment anywhere in India. As if malnutrition, stunted growth, life-threatening disease and total absence of medical care were not enough, families scratching a meager existence on the Vijayawada dump simply have no escape from the poisonous smoke which constantly hangs in the air. Children and adults alike nevertheless go about their daily business of foraging though every fresh lorry load of waste for plastic and scraps of metal to sell for recycling, oblivious to the damage they are doing to themselves. Shortened life expectancy is an occupational hazard for the rag-pickers of Vijayawada dump. They appear to accept their 'untouchable' status as Tribals and Dalits - the bottom of the food chain, the ostracized, the outcasts of Indian society, powerless, it seems, to escape the clutches of generational poverty. Untouchability was made illegal in post-independence India, and Dalits substantially empowered, but, like the new-found wealth from a booming Indian economy, this has not filtered down to the most impoverished, the most downtrodden of all. Shourya Babu Rebba, founder of KISES (Kiranmayi Socio Educational Society), feels it is his duty to stand up for these marginalised people, coming as he does from a lower middle-class background. Being a Dalit himself, he has experienced all kinds of social discrimination and economic backwardness ever since his childhood; and it was this experience that motivated him to work for the redressal of socio-economic evils. His stated aim is to establish a just society, wherein the poor and the marginalised can enjoy equality, fraternity and justice. During December, despite personal concerns over the health of a hospitalized family member, he has given his free time to deliver meals and gifts to city slum dwellers, while establishing a mobile school which offers a glimmer of hope to the children of the dump. Most recently of all, he carried out a health camp at the remote dump yard, the results of which confirmed all fears about the medical condition of those living and working on the mountains of smouldering waste. Doctors were not keen to travel from the city, but a local medic agreed to join the small KISES team. Health checks were given to adults and children alike and the stark reality was that EVERY patient was found to be in poor health and in need of medication, distributed free by KISES. Once medicines had been handed out, meals and clean clothing were provided for the children, who were also excited to receive some early Christmas gifts in the form of toys, sweets, coloring books and pencils. But the real gift for these previously uncared-for people will come with the addition of skills training for young adults and the continuation of the mobile programme providing food, education and healthcare.

Career Q & A By Prof. Zahoorullah.S.MD. Careers in Engineering 1. My parents have pressurized me to join ECE course even-though I am interest in CSE. What should I have to do? Ans: It is always better if parents prefer student choice to pursue any Engineering branch. There are two reasons behind this. Firstly, is you can select any branch as all branches have equal opportunities. Secondly, if the student has interest he can able to succeed well in his chosen area. It is better to slide over the interested branch or in case can’t be done, then try to learn the selected branch slowly with sheer hard work and remember to read any branch with enthusiasm without difficulty. 2. What are the “Core branches in Engineering”? Should I have to prefer always or join “core branches” to study? Ans: There is no such word called “core branch”. It is one of the misconception and a blunder mistake usually people do. Even the Professors of engineering are classifying Engineering in to “Core branches and Non-core branches”. The meaning of core branches is ECE,EEE,Mech, Civil and CSE, which is not true. All branches of Engineering are core and are equally important. One should know and learn that BTech/BE has many specializations. The most popular ones chosen by students or preferred are those mentioned above. The preference was given to those branches as they have jobs established in Government sector since from many years. But the present scenario was changed. Many companies were established, more manpower is required and the jobs in every branch are available. 3. In Intermediate examinations, I have scored maximum marks with 10/10 GPA but I have failed in my First year exams of BTech (CSE) in Engineering Physics subject. Why I could not able to pass and how can I rectify myself? Ans: It happened because most of students have the culture of “by- heart study” in Intermediate study. Many corporate colleges have made students without any application knowledge. One should learn by analyzing the subject and writing on their own sentence formation. There is no proper development of students with respect to Writing, Listeneing, Speaking and Reading skills in Intermediate/10th class education in India. On the other hand Engineering Education is quite different which require subject analyzation. You have to refer and read different text books for each subject, prepare notes on your own and produce it in the examination. 4. What are the methods to score maximum marks in Engineering? Ans: In Engineering as told one needs to prepare a note on your own referring different text books. Never refer All in One books. Improve your Listening, Speaking, Writing and Reading skills in that appropriate subject and topic. Then review the topics, give seminar on the subject in the class room. Refer journals and internet material (online books only) on different topics. There should be “Intellectual Knowledge” improvement to be required in Engineering. Subject Intellectuality gives you strong foundation. It should be connected to lab experiments too. 5. The experiments performed in the lab by me are not properly understandable. I am forgetting the previous semester lab experiments and the subject too. How to overcome this problem? Ans: Irrespective of schooling and intermediate education, Engineering requires Lab experiments to do and implement. It is equally important along with subject knowledge. Most of the students neglect but it is the area where most of them do the mistake. Always hone your lab skills and do the experiments with your instructor help. Review and revise the experiments in every semester or at home. This will improve your application knowledge; this is what the Engineer requires. This will ease the projects to be performed in the last year of Engineering Course and also while doing the job. For further Q&A or Career Counselling Please contact/email me on [email protected]

INCREDIBLE INDIA Hamsaladeevi Beach – The Black River Terminus Beginning her journey from the breathtaking Western Ghats and flowing through dense Nallamala hills, the is the life giver to the states of Maharashtra, Karnataka, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. In Andhra Pradesh, after a 1300 km journey, the Krishna finally meets the Bay of Bengal and that’s where we were headed from , to Hamsaladeevi to see the river merge with the sea.

Get in Hamsaladeevi is a village in Krishna District in Andhra Pradesh. It is also known as "Swan Island". Hamsaladeevi can be reached by Bus from Vijayawada to which is the nearest big town. From here to HamsalaDeevi is 24km and other 4 km to Beach.(Sagara Sangamam is sea shore side 2km)

Get around One can see the beauty of the River Krishna which merges in to SEA (Sagara Sangamam) at Palakayi Tippa. This place can be reached by road and the actual 'Sagara Sangamam' (confluence with the ocean) is a few kilometers away and can also be reached by road. The road ends at a beach (3 km from Palakayi Tippa) and one needs to travelfurther along the beach (not very safe late in the evening during the high tide) for about 2 km before reaching the confluence point. There is a sign warning people not go more than a few meters into the water (the water at that point is apparently 30 feet deep) – there are cement pillars erected to indicate the safe area.

See There is a building erected near the point and if one climbs it for a bird's-eye view, one can clearly see the river dumping water(of a slightly different color) and soil into the sea (which looks very blue in the afternoon sun). The confluence (along with the swans on the beach) is a visual treat for anybody who loves nature and it offers a deep spiritual experience for the religiously inclined Do There is also an old Venugopalaswamy (Lord Krishna) temple at Hamsaladeevi. People celebrate 'MaghaPournami' (February) as a holy day. That day 'Anna daanam' (food-donation) is done for who ever comes to visit this place. A prayer at Venugopala Swamy Temple in Hamsala Deevi and the 4-km trek from there to the beach give many of them a life-changing experience.

HEALTH AWARENESS

Food is thy Medicine

A tomato is a nutrient-dense super food that offers benefit to a range of bodily systems. Its nutritional content supports healthful skin, weight loss, and heart health. Despite the popularity of tomatoes, it was only 200 years ago that they were thought to be poisonous in the United States (U.S.) This is likely to be because the plant belongs to the toxic nightshade family. Tomatoes are now the fourth most popularfresh-market vegetable behind potatoes, lettuce, and onions. Eating lots of tomatoes, any way you can, is a great thing. This fruit that acts like a vegetable is loaded with health properties.

Fast facts on tomatoes

• Including tomatoes in the diet can help protect against cancer, maintain healthy blood pressure, and reduce blood glucose in people with diabetes. • Tomatoes contain key carotenoids such as lutein and lycopene. These can protect the eye against light- induced damage. • Eat more tomatoes by adding them to wraps or sandwiches, sauces, or salsas. Alternatively, eat them cooked or stewed, as these preparation methods can boost the availability of key nutrients. • Tomatoes are in the top ten fruits and vegetables for containing levels of pesticide residue. Wash tomatoes before eating.

Possible health benefits of tomatoes

Cancer, Blood pressure, Heart health, Diabetes, Constipation, Eye health, Skin, Pregnancy

Nutritional content

Tomatoes are packed with nutrients. One cup of chopped or sliced raw tomatoes contains: 32 calories (kcal), 170.14 g of water, 1.58 g of protein, 2.2 g of fiber, 5.8 g of carbohydrate, 0 g cholesterol Tomatoes also have a wealth of vitamin and mineral content, including: 18 g of calcium, 427 mg of potassium, 43 mg of phosphorus, 24.7 mg of vitamin C, 1499 international units (IU) of vitamin A Tomatoes also contain a wide array of beneficial nutrients and antioxidants, including : alpha-lipoic acid, lycopene, choline, folic acid, beta-carotene, lutein

The cooking of tomatoes appears to increase the availability of key nutrients, such as the carotenoids lycopene, lutein, and zeaxanthin. Stewed tomatoes provide more lutein and zeaxanthin than sun-dried tomatoes and raw cherry tomatoes. Sindhu ma
