Placings 1st to 6th in the following: Lead Rein, First Ridden, Mountain & Moorland, WHP, Senior Show Jumping, Junior Show Jumping (16 & under), Long Distance Riding/Endurance//Le Trec, Senior Dressage, Junior Dressage (16 & under), Overall Driving, Scurry Driving, Driving Trials, Private Driving, Ride & Drive, Combined Training/One Day Event/ XC/Hunter Trials, Pony/Riding Club/Handy/Family Pony/Arena Trec, Showing 12 & Under, Showing 13 & over, Welsh, Scottish, English, Owner/Rider, Owner/Breeder, Stallion, Mare, Gelding, Senior & Junior Versatility, Area Association Team Competition. Winners wishing to hold their trophies will need to give a deposit and sign a declaration that the trophy will be returned cleaned by 30 November 2019 and will be covered by insurance. Presentation of Awards will take place on Sunday 26th January 2020 at 2.00pm at Jury’s Inn Hotel, Cheltenham. WELSH PONY AND COB SOCIETY PERFORMANCE AWARDS 2019 SPONSORED BY BRIGHTWELLS AUCTIONEERS, WELSH PONY & COB SOCIETY, LLANARTH STUD, LANGARTH STUD, FLOREAT STUD , KEMYSFAWR STUD, BORETON/BETTON STUD, DIGSWELL STUD & AMILAS STUD RULES The objective of the Performance Awards Scheme is to encourage and reward the performance capabilities of Welsh Ponies, Cobs and Part-Breds The importance of versatility is recognised and it is hoped that the wide range of events/classes included will encourage Pony/Cob owners to take part 1. The competition is open to Stallions, Mares and Geldings of four years and over. Reduced entry fee for WPCS members. Membership, entry forms & results carDs can be downloaded from www.wpcsperformanceawarDs.com or www.wpcs.uk.com 2. All Ponies/Cobs must be registered in the Welsh Stud Book or the Part-Bred Register. Registration Numbers and breeding must be given on each entry form. ALL DETAILS MUST BE LEGIBLE. 3. The Competition will run from Saturday 9th March to Sunday 3rd November 2019 inclusive. 4. Entry Forms are available from Jo Filmer at the address below or via download. Completed Entry Forms, together with photocopy of the Passport, the correct Entry Fee (by cheque or bank transfer) per Pony/Cob (one Entry Form and Fee per animal) must be sent to Jo Filmer. ENTRY FEES – PAID UP MEMBERS OF WPCS: £20.00 Non Members: £25.00 (Entries can be refused without any reason being given). Payment must have been received in full prior to entry being accepted for all downloaded entries. Acknowledgement must be received from Jo Filmer either by post or email to verify entry. 5. Results Cards must be returned to Jo Filmer, postmarked/emailed no later than Friday 16th November 2019 ALL DETAILS MUST BE LEGIBLE if not entries will be rejected. No late entries will be accepted. Results received with later postmark/email than this date will not be accepted. 6. The identification of each class is most important. A simple three-letter code has been added to each type of event description. This code must be entered on the Results Card. 7. Points that cannot be verified will be disallowed. A competitor will be disqualified if rules are not adhered to. Appeals will not be allowed. 8. Competitors will be informed of the points awarded by Monday 9th December 2019. Any queries must be submitted in writing to Jo Filmer by Friday 13th December 2019. These queries will be investigated and corrected if this is deemed necessary. The Organisers decision is final and the results will be posted via email Monday 16th December 2019. If on receipt of the full list of results competitors have any queries they must contact Jo Filmer immediately, as these full results are published in the WPCS Journal. All competitors will receive a rosette. 9. Any Pony/Cob sold during the Competition Year may have points gained before sale transferred to the new owner on application to Jo Filmer. 10. Please keep photocopies of your cards before posting them to ‘insure’ against loss in the post. An SAE may be sent for acknowledgment of receipt of cards. 12. Only 30 shows are allowed in the competition period and a maximum of 3 classes per day. If more shows are attended please cross out shows that are NOT to be counted. Disciplinary action may be taken by the Society/Organisers against entrants for non compliance with the spirit of the Competition or content of the rules. 13. For all competitions, name of Secretary with telephone number must be provided for checking. If this is not supplied points will not count. Pony/Riding Club attendance must be signed by DC/Secretary. 14. In Horse Driving Trials, affiliated points may only be claimed at National Events or National Novice Qualifying classes. 15.
