Pikesville Jewish Center · Guide for Davening at Home · Pesach 2020/5780 FAQ’s About Davening at Home • Borchu and Kaddish are not recited. • V’Hu Rachum is not recited before Maariv. • Yotzer Or (and complete Birkat Kriyat Shema are said). • During Nissan, Tachanun, Av HaRachamim and Tzidkotcha (on Shabbat) are omitted. • On the 8th Day of Pesach Yizkor can be recited at home with Av HaRachamim. • Yoh Eli and Tefillat Tal are omitted at home on Yom Tov. Wednesday, April 8 - Erev Pesach & 1st Night of Pesach • Fast of the First Born: 9:00 AM on Zoom • Finish eating Chametz by: 10:35 AM | Burn Chometz by: 11:51 AM • Remember to make an Eruv Tavshilin • Regular weekday Mincha Candle lighting - 7:20 PM (recite the Brachot of L’had leek near shel Yom Tov and Shehechiyanu) Maariv - 8:15 PM • Insert Vayidabeir instead of VeShomru just before Amidah • Maariv Amidah for Shalosh Regalim Kiddush - after 8:19 PM: for Shalosh Regalim, including Shehechiyanu (start the Hagaddah) Thursday, April 9 - 1st Day of Pesach Shacharit: • Pezukei D’Zimra for Shabbat/Yom Tov • HaMeir L’Aretz instead of HaKol Yoducha | Shema before - 9:54 AM • Amidah for Shacharit of Yom Tov followed by a full Hallel Torah Readings • Parshat Bo Exodus 12:21 – 51 followed by Parshat Pinchas Numbers 28:16-25 followed by Haftorah: Yehoshua 3:5-7, 5:2-15; 6:1 and 6:27 Mussaf for Shalosh Regalim • Omit Mashiv HaRuach from now until Sukkot.
