Top value was £1,250 and top price at 150p/kg for a fine Limousin x beef cow from Messrs R., H.T. & R.M. Rowe of Gwinear, purchased by David King of Exeter. Top value Friesian was £1,145 for a big 896kg cow from Messrs B.L. A single UTM heifer sold to 141p for Messrs W.T. Key & Son of St. Breock, Wadebridge. A single OTM steer to 130p/kg for Messrs W.H. Pengelly & Son of Praze, Camborne. A run of Friesian OTM heifers on behalf of Messrs M. & J. Rowe of Ashton, Helston sold to a top of 115p/kg and averaged 105.53p/kg. Cull cows sold to 98p/kg (724kg) for a South Devon from Messrs R. & J. Bailey of Frogpool, Truro. Top Friesian was 97p/kg (831kg) for Messrs M. & J. Rowe of Ashton, Helston. The heavyweight lambs were a slightly easier trade yet a strong pen of heavyweight Texels selling to £86 for 52.3kg lambs from Miss R. S. Frank of Chacewater and a pair of 59.5kg heavyweights selling to £85.50 for Mr A.
