Led by Ibrahim Haydar and Tomislav Mijic, Parramatta’s defence has shown it can be a resilient and difficult to break down unit. While they have been undone by ill-discipline, the Melita Stadium based side could prove to be a thorn in the side of high flying APIA. APIA further proved its premiership credentials with a comprehensive 3-0 win against Sydney FC and go from strength to strength each week. Parramatta named a youthful line-up during their midweek clash with Rockdale, but coach Franco Consentino should have his experienced starters all back for this match. 1ST GRADE - PLAYSTATION 4 NPL NSW MEN’S POS TEAM P W D L F A GD PTS 1 Rockdale City Suns FC 6 5 1 0 15 7 8 16 2 APIA Leichhardt Tigers FC 6 5 0 1 15 5 10 15 3 Sydney Olympic FC 6 4 2 0 9 3 6 14 4 Blacktown City FC 6 4 2 0 11 6 5 14 5 Manly United FC 6 4 1 1 15 10 5 13 6 Sydney United 58 FC 6 3 0 3 11 9 2 9 7 Hakoah Sydney City East FC 6 2 2 2 13 11 2 8 8 Wollongong Wolves FC 6 2 1 3 6 9 -3 7 9 Sydney FC 6 1 0 5 8 12 -4 3 10 Parramatta FC 6 0 2 4 7 17 -10 2 11 Bonnyrigg White Eagles FC 6 0 1 5 9 20 -11 1 12 Sutherland Sharks FC 6 0 0 6 7 17 -10 0 5 FIRST GRADE #PS4NPLNSW Blacktown City FC 2 - Parramatta FC 2 at Lily’s Football Centre Parramatta FC has secured a hard-earned PlayStation®4 National Premier Leagues NSW Men’s competition point with a 2-2 draw against Blacktown City at Lily’s Football Centre. The visitors clung on for the draw after captain Ibrahim Haydar headed an equaliser only minutes into the second half. It was a frustrating result for Blacktown who fought back after conceding an early goal to Jordan Crighton thanks to strikes from Joey Gibbs and James Andrew. Although Mark Cittenden’s side would have preferred to have gone home with a win, the result means Blacktown hold onto their unbeaten start to the season. APIA Leichhardt Tigers FC 3 - Sydney FC 0 at Lambert Park APIA Leichhardt Tigers has returned to the winners circle with a comprehensive 3-0 PlayStation®4 National Premier Leagues NSW Men’s competition win against Sydney FC at Lambert Park. In a match of end to end action, APIA looked in control for almost the whole 90 minutes with goals to Tasuku Sekiya, Sean Symons and Matthew West securing the result and all three points. It was a tough day at the office for Sydney FC who could not make the most of their expansive play and never truly looked threatening. The result gives APIA five wins from six starts and has the side firming as one of the PlayStation®4 National Premier Leagues NSW Men’s competition favourites. 6 ROUND 6 TEAM OF THE 01: LARGE USE: OVER 150MM WIDE This logo has a smaller ‘®’ symbol 02: FOOTBALL NSW WOULDSMAL LIKEL USE: TO55MM THANK - 150MM WID THEIRE SPONSORS FOR THEIRThis CONTINUED logo has a larger ‘ ®SUPPORT’ symbol 7 FEATURE STORY #PS4NPLNSW 8 HEADING NPLNSW.COM.AU 9 UNDER 20s #PS4NPLNSW 23 (C) Gino CERASOLI 24 Shaho ISMAEEL HASAN 24 Samuel DE OLIVEIRA 25 Aedon KYRA 25 Saeed MUBAREK 26 Christian THEUMA 26 Will SALINAS 27 Antonio TASSONE 27 Leandro GUZMAN 28 Benjamin MCCARRON 29 Ryan BLAKELEY 29 Mathew BARKHO 30 Jason OH 30 Rainer SMAHEL 31 Matthew KEPPIE 31 Jordan MORFITIS 32 Marcus PLATANIOTIS 32 Stephan ADATTINI 34 Daniel ALESSI 33 Abdul Khaliq MOHSENI 35 Gabriel BRESSA 34 Nicholas POGONOWSKI 36 Abuzar AWAZ 35 Jackson VOLARICH 37 Keenan GIBSON 36 Jack ARMSON 38 Marko FILIPOVIC 37 Dominion NASRABADI 39 Evan RIMAC 38 Samuel GULISANO 40 Corey FINCH 39 Samuel PASLIS 56 Hayden MACEROLA Coach: Paul Casey Manager: Dario Zaina Coach: Michael Urukalo Assistant Coach: James Bottalico Manager: Mario Guerrera UNDER 20s - PLAYSTATION 4 NPL NSW MEN’S POS TEAM P W D L F A GD PTS 1 Sutherland Sharks FC 6 5 1 0 24 6 18 16 2 Sydney United 58 FC 6 4 0 2 12 7 5 12 3 Blacktown City FC 6 4 0 2 10 10 0 12 4 Sydney Olympic FC 6 3 2 1 12 7 5 11 5 Sydney FC 6 3 1 2 10 7 3 10 6 Hakoah Sydney City East FC 6 3 1 2 10 8 2 10 7 Manly United FC 6 2 2 2 15 14 1 8 8 APIA Leichhardt Tigers FC 6 2 1 3 13 8 5 7 9 Parramatta FC 6 2 1 3 8 9 -1 7 10 Rockdale City Suns FC 6 1 1 4 4 15 -11 4 11 Wollongong Wolves FC 6 1 0 5 7 17 -10 3 12 Bonnyrigg White Eagles FC 6 1 0 5 4 21 -17 3 10 UNDER 20s NPLNSW.COM.AU MATCH PIA Leichhardt Tigers travel to Melita AStadium on Saturday afternoon, where they will meet a Parramatta FC side fresh from a 2-1 defeat to Blacktown City in round 6. Parramatta’s latest result means they enter round 7 in ninth place on the ladder, level with APIA but one place behind due to an inferior goal difference. The visitors, meanwhile, come into this match after a 2-2 draw against Sydney FC in the last round, with goals from Jordan Morfitis and Dominion Nasrabadi helping APIA to a valuable point against one of the competition favourites. Parramatta won this fixture 3-0 when APIA visited Melita Stadium in 2016, and will be hopeful of a similar result despite an indifferent run of results this season to date. 11 UNDER 18s #PS4NPLNSW 1 Justin VELJOVIC 40 Tristan MICHELMANN 2 Cameron HAYWOOD 41 Zander REGAN 3 Zeke PRISUDA 42 Nicholas AZZONE 4 Jack SAXBY 43 Ethan BLUMENTHAL 5 (C) Camil ABOUCHAAYA 44 Peter NICHOLS 6 Corey NERCESSIAN 45 Fabian KAPROT 7 Ethan MAGUIRE 46 Adam KHALAF 8 Oskar SHAMOUN 47 Vinko GACIC 9 Salvatore BARBARO 48 Bradley DOLLIN 10 Andrew PETHYON 49 Nathan MELLINO 11 Matthew TAVEINITI 50 Zane HICKMAN 12 Joshua LITTLEFIELD 51 Oscar BERNAUER 13 Ethan DENIS 52 Riccardo LO RUSSO 14 Mohamed ALI JALLOH 53 James CAKOVSKI 15 Samuel DALEY 54 Alexander LASOVSKI 16 Harrison ANTONOPOULOS 55 Jarrad WILEY Coach: Troy Jackson Coach: Claudio Kapp Coach: Jonathon Keppie Assistant Coach: Alexander Kapp Manager: Suzanne Hickman UNDER 18s - PLAYSTATION 4 NPL NSW MEN’S POS TEAM P W D L F A GD PTS 1 Sydney FC 6 5 0 1 17 6 11 15 2 Rockdale City Suns FC 6 3 2 1 15 6 9 11 3 Manly United FC 6 3 2 1 13 10 3 11 4 Parramatta FC 6 2 4 0 5 2 3 10 5 Wollongong Wolves FC 6 2 3 1 8 5 3 9 6 Blacktown City FC 6 2 1 3 6 5 1 7 7 Hakoah Sydney City East FC 6 2 1 3 11 11 0 7 8 Bonnyrigg White Eagles FC 6 1 4 1 8 11 -3 7 9 APIA Leichhardt Tigers FC 6 1 3 2 12 15 -3 6 10 Sydney United 58 FC 6 1 2 3 9 14 -5 5 11 Sutherland Sharks FC 6 1 1 4 7 11 -4 4 12 Sydney Olympic FC 6 0 3 3 4 19 -15 3 12 PHOTO GALLERY NPLNSW.COM.AU 13 HEADING HOME #PS4NPLNSW HOMESUBHEAD GROUND - MELITA STADIUM Everley Rd, Sefton ROUND 01 SAT 11TH MARCH 1 - 3 VS Wollongong Wolves FC ROUND 02 SUN 19TH MARCH 2 - 5 VS Sydney FC ROUND 04 SUN 2ND APRIL 0 - 0 VS Sydney Olympic FC ROUND 05 SUN 9TH APRIL 1 - 3 VS Manly United FC ROUND 07 SAT 22ND APRIL 19:00 VS APIA Leichhardt Tigers FC ROUND 09 SAT 6TH MAY 19:00 VS Hakoah Sydney City East FC ROUND 14 SAT 10TH JUNE 19:00 VS Rockdale City Suns FC ROUND 17 SUN 2ND JULY 15:00 VS Blacktown City FC ROUND 19 SUN 23RD JULY 15:00 VS Sydney United 58 FC ROUND 21 SAT 5TH AUGUST 19:00 VS Sutherland Sharks FC ROUND 22 SUN 13TH AUGUST 15:00 VS Bonnyrigg White Eagles FC Fixtures subject to change.
