But because of Florida A&M University's budget cuts, there is little hope for money' to order new books. The S2 million budget cut FAMU suffered has affected the budgets of FAMvU's Coleman Memorial Library and its branch libraries. Vivian Royster, head of the acquisitions department in Coleman Memorial Library, said this y'ear's budget for FA\IU's libraries was cut from S650,000 to S450,00. An additional S200,000 vwas cut later leaving only' S250,000 for the libraries. These cuts have forced the libraries to make sacrifices. Roy'ster said that the last resort will be to cut the expensive and duplicate 4 periodicals.
