For thousands of years people have ished in order to eat and survive, but it has Kids News also become a sport and leisure activity. Anoth - er term for ishing is called angling. Some of the types of ishing are ly ishing, bait ishing, bait Fishing crossword spinning, and trolling. Fly ishing is considered mostly a sport activity and involves a long rod seven-to-ten feet in length. A ly, either real or artiicial, is attached to the hook and is cast, or thrown, onto the surface of the water to lure the ish. Bait ishing is the oldest and most universal type of ishing. A rod, ive-to-six feet in length, is used along with a sinker (a device used to weigh the bait down some) and a bobber (a lotation device used to keep the bait from completely sinking). It is cast underwater to a precise depth to wait for a bite from a hungry or curious ish. Bait spinning uses a combination of ly and bait ishing methods; for exam- ple, a long rod with traditional bait on the hook is used. The last type is called trolling. Trolling is a method in which the angler casts his bait into the water and slowly pulls it behind him. This is primarily done from a boat and is practiced in both fresh and saltwater environments. All equipment used in ishing is referred to as tackle. FishY word Find

The mass of spirited fans was joined by the graduating class of 1965, along with the class of 1985. The Murfreesboro band, who has been selling raffle tickets to raise money for their travel expenses to away games, announced Jason Guter as the winner of the drawing for a Yeti mug during halftime as a part of the homecoming festivities. The first quarter showed little action in scoring especially for the Rattlers, ending with a score of 7-0 in favor of Horatio. The second quarter followed suit until Cameron Snowden caught a pass from Ryan Roberts and ran the ball in for the first Rat- tler touchdown with 7:51 left in the second quarter, which brought the score to 7-6.
