Ron Dennis CBE will resume his role of Executive Chairman of McLaren Group and will continue in his role of Executive Chairman of McLaren Automotive. Martin Whitmarsh has been appointed to two new roles: Chief Executive Officer of McLaren Group and Deputy Chairman of McLaren Automotive. He will also continue in his role of Team Principal of Vodafone McLaren Mercedes. Also reporting to Ron Dennis will be Tim Murnane (Group Legal Director & Company Secretary, McLaren Group) and Andy Myers (Group Chief Financial Officer, McLaren Group). Thanks for joining us. This is the first time we've heard from you this morning, so we ought to start with the car; what do you think? MARTIN WHITMARSH: Well, it's already been commented on, it looks beautiful. I should probably pull these chairs away, stop hiding it, but -- no, it looks beautiful at the moment, but cars really do look beautiful if they win races. And, you know, the beauty is more than skin deep. I think there's tremendous engineering underneath. A lot of thought has gone into this car and, really, refinement. I'm sure it will look different when it gets to Australia. That's the nature offer Formula 1 these days, we're constantly evolving the product, but I think it's nice, when you're going to have to stand around a car for quite a long period of your life during a year, if it looks good at the outset that helps us. DAVID CROFT: Lewis and Jenson said there's only one goal at the start of the season; is that your goal as well, to win a championship? MARTIN WHITMARSH: Well, yeah, I'm sure it's no surprise to everyone here that our goal is to win two world championships this year. That's what we exist to do. That's what we try to do every year.

Evolutionary design of MP4-27 masks overhaul of all major systems While the all-new Vodafone McLaren Mercedes MP4-27 closely resembles last year’s multiple race-winning car, the 2012 chassis has been substantially revised from the ground-up, with all major systems updated or re-designed for the new season. The most evident visual differences include more tightly waisted rear bodywork, developed to improve flow to the rear of the car, and a revised cooling system, which re-directs the gearbox oil-cooler. Last year’s U-shaped sidepods have also been re-designed – a legacy of the FIA’s new exhaust regulations that redefine the shape of the rear bodywork.

PRESS CONFERENCE Q: Andy, let’s start with you. Stunning start to the season: 53 points; clear fourth place and even breathing down Red Bull’s neck in the championship. With the resources that you have, how have you managed to do it? Andy GREEN: It’s been, yeah, it’s been a good start to the season but as we proved last season, you can’t take anything for granted and our lead over fifth place is a lot smaller than where we were behind the Williams last year. So, reminding the guys that it’s a long season and we’re only a quarter of the way through it with a long way to go where a lot can happen. So, we need to keep pushing, keep developing, do what we’re doing – we’re on a good trajectory at the moment – and not to slack and see where we end up in the end. So far it’s gone better than expected and I think we’ve capitalised as much as we could of in those first five races. I don’t think you look back at those first five and think ‘what if?’ I think we’ve basically got the best out of it. Q: In Spain only three cars finished on the lead lap, which is the fewest since 2008 so obviously, does that speak to the problem that the field in Formula One, with these new regulations, has become very spread out? The change means the rate at which cars can harvest energy under braking has increased five-fold from 400 kJ per lap to 2,000 kJ per lap, thus significantly affecting the braking effort at the rear wheels. Akebono’s dedicated team of engineers and specialists have developed an electronic ‘brake-by-wire’ rear brake control system to aide the braking effort at the rear, negating the need for the driver to constantly alter the brake bias, and thus contributing in preventing rear lock-up.     Press Release March 9, 2016 McLaren-Honda Calsonic Kansei Corporation McLaren-Honda signs exciting multi-year partnership with Calsonic Kansei McLaren-Honda today announces a new multi-year partnership with Japanese automotive company Calsonic Kansei. Calsonic Kansei is a leading global manufacturer of automotive components, supplying heat exchangers, climate control systems, instrument panels, compressors, electronics and exhaust systems to some of the world’s leading automotive brands. Calsonic Kansei has been supplying McLaren with racecar components for over 20 years, but this new multi-year global partnership will see both companies working more closely together. The partnership comes at an exciting time for both brands – Calsonic Kansei has recently started production in Brazil and Russia, and has been supplying products that satisfy its global customers; McLaren heads into the 2016 Formula 1 season together with Japanese manufacturer Honda, after the two companies reunited in 2015.
