Soundstripe Hires Former Records Exec Zach Diaz as Head of Streaming

April 1, 2021 (Nashville, TN) – Soundstripe, a leading provider of unlimited royalty-free music, stock video, and sound effects for use in videos, podcasts, and other media projects, has hired 10-year music industry veteran and streaming music specialist Zach Diaz as Head of Streaming. In this role, he will bring his extensive experience at Red Bull Records, as well as Sony Music Entertainment’s RED Distribution and The Orchard, to Soundstripe, overseeing all of the company’s activities with digital service providers (DSPs), including Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, and more.

Prior to joining Soundstripe, Diaz held multiple positions in the independent distribution and label space, working with all major digital music services on the front lines of the industry’s transition to a subscription-based model. After an early career in artist management, Diaz entered the account management space in 2013, spending five years at Sony Music Entertainment’s RED Distribution and The Orchard overseeing DSP relationships for some of the industry’s most acclaimed independent labels.

Starting in 2018, Diaz spent two years at Red Bull Records as Vice President of Global Digital Account Management to oversee DSP relations and strategy. While at Red Bull Records, he worked closely with a wide array of artists of varying genres, including , The Aces, Albert Hammond Jr., Beartooth, and Blxt.
