We have prepared an entirely new ranking called TOP 100 listed companies, part of the TOP listed companies section, giving its rationale along with a feature story on the stock exchanges in the region. For the fi rst time we have included research on Turkey and Greece, setting the scene for companies from the two countries to enter the TOP 100 rankings in the future. The scope has been broadened with a chapter dedicated to culture and the leisure industry, called SEE colours, which brings the region into the wider context of united Europe. One of the highlights of the 2012 edition is a feature writ- ten by the President of the European Bank for Reconstruc- tion and Development, Sir Suma Chakrabarti.
