1. Situation update: 1.1 The situation in oblast has been brought under control. The population is being informed on measures undertaken to deal with consequences of the disaster. 1.2 In total 10 regions of (i.a. 298 settlements and the city of Chernivtsi) suffered from weather conditions. As a consequence of flooding, 3 persons died, 1 person is missing. 116 houses were destroyed, 735 buildings and 1611 buildings were damaged. 105 settlements, 4 400 houses, 53 objects of infrastructure, 2 980 households, 7 181 basements, 15 593 crofts, 5 223 wells, 2 261 ha of agricultural land were flooded. 1.3 Three road bridges were destroyed and additionally 41 road bridges, 2 railway bridges as well as 154.89 km of roads were damaged. 1.4 On 13 July 2010 a landslide of 5 ha occurred in the settlement Horovy (community Pidzakharychi, Putylsky region, Chernivtsi oblast) which caused that 75 persons from 28 houses were evacuated. 1.5 On 16 July 2010 the road between Pidzakharychi and Putyla was shut off, the traffic diversion was established through the settlement Roztoky (Ivano-Frankivsk oblast). 1.6 Till today 24.857 km of soil reclamation canals and river-beds, 10.125 km of roads, 892 households have been cleared up from silt and garbage. Additionally 4.6 km of drainage-ways were trenched and 12 311 wells were sanitized. As a result of ground NON - CLASSIFIED

water upheaval there is a need for repeated pumping works in 1 837 wells and 1 190 basements. 1.7 In total 2 079 persons and 400 equipment units were involved in dealing with the consequences of the disaster. UAH 391.5 thousand from local budgets (incl. UAH 95 thousand from the oblast budget) were dedicated for this purpose. UAH 1.4 million and more than 1 million Euros were received as charitable contributions. UAH 1.2 million subventions were received from budgets of other oblasts. 2.
